Tom Egan was on the 65 & 66 PCL Champion Falcons Teams. The 1966 team is considered one of the greatest in North’s storied history. This team is in the NC Soccer hall of fame as well. He was named All-Catholic and All-Scholastic in 1966. He was also an All-Scholastic selection in his junior year.
Egan scored several important goals in his career including the game-winner for the National Champion Lighthouse 49ers in the 1967 U-19 finals. Egan then went on to play for Park College in Kansas City where he was named 2nd team All-Conference.
He worked as a carpenter by trade and also helped coach youth teams at the Philadelphia Soccer Club. When he wasn’t working or coaching youth soccer, he was volunteering for various Veterans’ groups.
