Patrick Morris, another St. Hugh product, was a Three-year varsity starter as a Falcon. He netted a hat trick in a PCL championship game loss in 1994. Morris was selected as an All-Catholic, All-State & All-American player while at North. He was also voted the PCL MVP for 1994.
Morris went to on to Philadelphia Textile (now Philadelphia University) where he was a standout performer. Morris was a four-time All-Soccer Seven selection (1995-98). He was also the Soccer Seven MVP as a senior. He was named honorable mention All-American as a senior. Morris ranks fourth all-time in school history with 120 career points while his 49 career goals for the Rams also rank fourth all-time. A 1999 graduate with a degree in finance, Morris was inducted into Philadelphia University’s Athletic Hall of Fame in 2006.
Pat Morris also owns more than 30 international caps as a member of the U.S. National Futsal Team, and has participated in the World Championships, the Pan-American Games and a CONCACAF qualifier.
Morris' professional Indoor career with the Philadelphia KiXX has spanned 11 years and he is a seven-time All-League selection. The team's captain for eight years, he earned the MISL's Defender of the Year award twice. Pat also helped the KiXX to league titles in both 2002 and 2007. He was a member of the National Indoor Team. Pat has played in over 300 games and scored more than 150 goals in his career. Along with playing for the KiXX, Morris became a Philadelphia KiXX camp instructor in 2001 and a site director after his first two years. He finished his pro MISL career with the Baltimore Blast in 2011.
Despite these accomplishments and commitments, Pat Morris was also always available for training sessions to help the North Catholic soccer team through 2010. Pat Morris was recently named as an Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach at St Joseph’s University joining fellow NC Soccer Hall member and KIXX teammate Don D’Ambra. Pat lives in Port Richmond and also runs the “Morris-Wacker Soccer Academy” along with another former NC soccer legend Steve Wacker ’01.
Morris was selected as the Penn State Abington Men's Head Coach in 2020. In his first full season after the 2020 campaign was canceled due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, Morris guided the Nittany Lions to an 8-7-3 overall record and finished United East play with a 4-2-2 mark. Abington qualified for the conference tournament as the fourth seed.
