ROMAN “CHIP” CIUPAK
Roman “Chip” Ciupak was a two time All-Scholastic and All-Catholic during his junior and senior seasons while at North (1967 & 1968). He was also a Catholic League Champion for North in the 1967 season. Ciupak tallied a goal in the PCL final match against Monsignor Bonner for a 3-0 North Catholic win.
Ciupak went on to St Joseph’s U for one season before being accepted into the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY. Chip was a three time regional All-American while playing for the Army in 1971, 72 & 73. During his career at the Academy under legendary Coach Joe Palone, Chip Ciupak’s teams went 26-9-4. He led the Black Knights in goals in 1971 with 13 and in 1972 he added 12 goals and 11 assists. Ciupak finished his colligate career with 25 goals (currently 4th All-time), 11 assists (10th all-time) and 61 points (6th all-time).
Chip Ciupak graduated from the Military Academy in 1974.
