Chinavia kaisaca (Schouteden)

Acrosternum kaisacum Schouteden, 1960: 361–362.

Coloration. Predominantly green. The lateral margins of juga black and pronotum green, both followed by a red band, that extends to the middle of the corium. Scutellum with four irregular yellow dots on the basis. Posterolateral angle of the corium with black macula. Connexivum yellow and urosternites green, without black macula. Head. Margins of juga with a slight concavity in front of eyes, apex of head broadened and semicircular. Proportion of antennal segments. I<II>III*. Rostrum surpasses the metacoxae. Rotrum segment’s proportion. I<II<III>IV. Thorax. Anterolateral margins of pronotum without a submarginal dorsal depression. Presence of a darker green callus near humeral angle. Hemelytra with costal angles strongly obtuse. Straight sutural membrane. Abdomen. Medial spine of third urosternite doesn’t reach the metacoxae. Spiracles yellow.

Distribution. Nigeria, Ghana, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo.

Host plants. No information available.

Comments. It is the only species on the Old World that has the connexivum and urosternite immaculated.
