Chinavia erythrocnemis (Berg)

Nezara erythrocnemis Berg, 1878: 27-28.

Coloration. Predominantly green. The lateral margins of juga and pronotum are black. The colored band of juga are red, the colored band of pronotum are yellow. Black spots recovering the entire margin of cicatrices on pronotum. Cicatrices on propleura black. Basal angles of scutellum with 1+1 black spots. End of femur and beginning of tibia red. The rest of the tibia and tarsus may be the same color or black. Connexivum and urosternite yellow. Black macula covering the anterior and posterior band of urosternite and connexivum. Head. Margins of juga with a slight concavity in front of eyes, apex of head large and semicircular. Proportion of antennal segments: I<II<III<IV≈V. The rostrum reaches the metacoxae. Proportion of rostral segments: I<II>III>IV. Thorax. Anterolateral margins of pronotum without a submarginal dorsal depression. Hemelytra with costal angles slightly obtuse. Membranal suture convex. Abdomen. Medial spine of the third urosternite reaches the metacoxae. Spiracles yellow, sutures and pseudosutures blackened.

Distribution. Brazil (MT, SP, RJ, PR*, SC*, RS**), Argentina (MI, CR, BA).
