Chinavia boliviensis Grazia, Schwertner and Ferrari

Chinavia boliviensis Grazia, Schwertner and Ferrari, 2006: 425-426, figs. 2, 6, 11, 16.

Coloration. Predominantly green. The lateral margins of juga and pronotum are black, followed by an orange band. Apex of the scutellum with characteristic black margin. Connexivum and urosternite orange. Black macula in the posterolateral angles of connexivum and urosternite. Head. Margins of juga with a strong concavity in front of eyes, apex of head broadened and semicircular. Proportion of antennal segments: I<II<III<IV<V. Rostrum reaches the metacoxae. Proportion of rostral segments: I<II≈III>IV. Thorax. Humeral angles projected laterally, but not developed into a spine. Anterolateral margins of pronotum without a submarginal dorsal depression. Hemelytra with costal angles slightly obtuse. Membranal suture convex. Abdomen. Medial spine of third urosternite reaches the metacoxae. Spiracles green surrounded by a yellow callus.

Comments. This species, like Chinavia musiva (Berg), is the only one that has the apex of the scutellum black. However, these two species are easily distinguished due to the color pattern characteristic of C. musiva.
