Chinavia pengue (Rolston)

Acrosternum (Chinavia) pengue Rolston, 1983: 170–172, figs. 224–232.

Coloration. Predominantly green. The lateral margins of juga and pronotum are black, followed by orange or red band. Scutellum basis immaculated, the apex yellow. Connexivum green and urosternites orange or red. Black macula covering all the posterior portion of urosternite and connexivum. Head. Margins of juga with a slight concavity in front of eyes, apex of head large, or broadened and semicircular. Proportion of antennal segments: I<II<III<IV<V. The rostrum reaches the metacoxae. Proportion of rostral segments: I<II>III>IV. Thorax. Anterolateral margins of pronotum with a submarginal dorsal depression. Hemelytra with costal angles slighty obtuse. Membranal suture convex. Abdomen. Medial spine of the third urosternite reaches the metacoxae. Spiracles green.

Distribution. Brazil (MS*, PR, SC*, RS*), Paraguay, Argentina (MI, BA).

Families of plants as possible hosts. Aquifoliaceae (Schwertner & Grazia 2007), Brassicaceae (Link & Grazia 1987), Fabaceae (Link & Grazia 1987; Matesco et al., 2007), Malvaceae (Schwertner & Grazia 2007), Solanaceae (Schwertner & Grazia 2007).

Comments. It may be confused with C. impicticornis, but is distinguished by scutellum basis immaculated and spiracles coloration.
