Chinavia solita (Rider and Rolston)

Acrosternum (Chinavia) solitum Rider and Rolston, 1986: 420–423, figs. 17–25.

Coloration. Predominantly green. The lateral margins of juga and pronotum are black, followed by an orange band. Scutellum with five irregular yellow dots on the basis. Connexivum and urosternite red. Black macula in the posterolateral angles of connexivum and urosternite. Head. Margins of juga without concavity in front of eyes, apex of head large and semicircular. Proportion of antennal segments. I<II<III≈IV≈V. Rostrum reaches the metacoxae. Proportion of rostral segments. I<II>III>IV. Thorax. Anterolateral margins of pronotum with a submarginal dorsal depression. Hemelytra with costal angles slightly obtuse. Membranal suture convex. Abdomen. Medial spine of third urosternite reaches the metacoxae. Spiracles green.

Comments. Rider and Rolston (1986) suggest a close relation of this species to C. marginata, but can be distinguished by the absence of concavity in front of eyes in C. solita.
