Chinavia dispar (Schouteden)

Acrosternum dispar Schouteden, 1960: 358–360.

Coloration. Predominantly green. The lateral margins of juga and pronotum are black, followed by a green band. Basal angles of scutellum with 1+1 yellow spots. Connexivum yellow and urosternite green. Black macula only on posterior portion of urosternite. Head. Margins of juga with a slight concavity in front of eyes, apex of head is broadened and semicircular. Proportion of antennal segments. I<II>III<IV*. Rostrum reaches the metacoxae. Proportion of rostral segments. I<II>III>IV. Thorax. Humeral angle developed into a spine, with yellow coloration. Anterolateral margins of pronotum with a submarginal dorsal depression. Hemelytra with costal angles strongly obtuse. Membranal suture convex. Abdomen. Medial spine of third urosternite reaches the metacoxae. Spiracles yellow surrounded by a yellow callus.

Comment. This species and C. acuta are the only species in the African continent that has humeral angle developed into a spine. However, they are easily distinguished, because the spine in C. dispar has a yellow color, while in C. acuta, red.
