Chinavia simplicis (Rolston)

Acrosternum (Chinavia) simplicis Rolston, 1983: 138–140, figs. 106–110.

Coloration. Predominantly green. The lateral margins of juga and pronotum are black, followed by a yellow band. There is a second coloured band with red color. Scutellum with four irregular yellow dots on the basis. Apex of scutellum, connexivum and urosternites yellow. Black macula only in posterior portion of urosternite. Head. Margins of juga without concavity in front of eyes, apex of head broadened and semicircular. Proportion of antennal segments: I<II≈III<IV≈V. The rostrum reaches the metacoxae. Proportion of rostral segments: I<II>III>IV. Thorax. Anterolateral margins of pronotum without a submarginal dorsal depression. Ostiolar peritreme surpassing half the length the evaporatoria. Hemelytra with costal angles slightly obtuse. Membranal suture convex. Abdomen. Medial spine of the third urosternite doesn’t reach the metacoxae. Spiracles black surrounded by a yellow callus.

Distribution. Brazil (MT), Paraguay.

Comments. Can be distinguished by the colored bands of juga and pronotum have coloration red and connexivum yellow. C. montivaga also has this pattern of coloration, but C. simplicis is different for the more elongated ostiolar peritreme, surpassing half the length the evaporatoria.
