Chinavia panamensis (Distant)

Nezara panamensis Distant, 1890: 339, fig. 1.

Coloration. Predominantly yellow. The lateral margins and the colored bands of juga and pronotum are yellow. Apex of tylus is black. Connexivum and urosternites yellow. Black macula only in posterior portion of urosternites. Femur base, tibia and tarsi black. End region of the corium and wing membrane are black. Head. Margins of juga with a strong concavity in front of eyes, apex of head broadened and semicircular. Proportion of antennal segments: I<II<III*. Rostrum reaches the metacoxae. Proportion of rostral segments: I<II>III≈IV. Thorax. Anterolateral margins of pronotum without a submarginal dorsal depression. Hemelytra with costal angles strongly obtuse. Straight sutural membrane. Abdomen. Medial spine of third urosternite reaches the metacoxae. Spiracles are yellow.

Host plants. No information available.

Comments. Species easily recognized as being the only one in the genus has the body predominantly yellow. The antennae of the analyzed material are incomplete.
