Chinavia cubensis (Rider)

Acrosternum (Chinavia) cubensis Rider, 1987: 299-301, figs. 1–5.

Coloration. Predominantly green. Apex of tylus ferruginous. Lateral margins of juga and pronotum black, followed by a pale-yellow band. Scutellum with five irregular yellow dots on the basis. Connexivum and urosternites green. Black macula on connexivum and urosternites absent. Head. Margins of juga with a slight concavity in front of eyes, apex of head large and semicircular. Proportion of antennal segments: I<II<III<IV>V. Rostrum reaches metacoxae. Proportion of rostral segments: I<II>III>IV. Thorax. Anterolateral margins of pronotum with a submarginal dorsal depression. Ostiolar peritreme does not surpass half the length of the evaporatoria. Hemelytra with costal angles slightly obtuse. Membranal suture convex. Abdomen. Medial spine of third urosternite doesn’t reach metacoxae. Spiracles brown located externally to distinct yellow callus.

Comments. This species has the spiracle external to the callus, as does C. australe. However, the two species are quite distinct morphologically.
