Chinavia longicorialis (Breddin)

Nezara longicorialis Breddin, 1901: 123.

Coloration. Predominantly green. The lateral margins of juga and pronotum are black, the colored band of juga are green, the colored band of pronotum are yellow. Rostrum reddish. Yellow mesial stripe on pronotum and scutellum. Scutellum with five irregular yellow dots on the basis. Connexivum and urosternites green. Black macula only in posterior portion of urosternite. Head. Margins of juga with a slight concavity in front of eyes, apex of head broadened and semicircular. Proportion of antennal segments: I<II<III≈IV≈V. The rostrum reaches the metacoxae. Proportion of rostral segments: I<II>III>IV. Thorax. Anterolateral margins of pronotum without a submarginal dorsal depression. Corium reaching the 7th segment of the connexivum. Hemelytra with costal angles acute. Stronlgy Membranal suture convex. Abdomen. Medial spine of the third urosternite reaches the mesocoxae. Spiracles green surrounded by a yellow callus.

Distribution. Brazil (SP, PR, RS*), Argentina (ER, BA), Uruguay.

Families of plants as possible hosts. Anarcadiaceae (Bunde et al. 2010), Rhamnaceae (Schwertner & Grazia 2007), Rosaceae (Schwertner & Grazia 2007), Smilacaceae (Schwertner & Grazia 2007).

Comments. Shares the corium reaching the 7th segment of the conexivum with C. abnormis. But, C. longicorialis has the longer abdominal spine and the rostrum reddish.
