Rhaphigaster obscuricornis Stål, 1860: 22 (synonymized by Stål 1872).

Coloration. Predominantly green. The lateral margins of juga and pronotum are black, followed by a yellow band, extending to basal third of hemelytron. Apex of tylus, rostral segments II, III and IV, base of femur, extremities of tibia and tarsus colored with black. Scutellum margins, connexivum and urosternites yellow. Black macula only in posterior portion of urosternite. Head. Margins of juga with a slight concavity in front of eyes, apex of head large and semicircular. Proportion of antennal segments: I<II≈III<IV>V. Rostrum surpasses the metacoxae. Proportion of rostral segments: I<II>III>IV. Thorax. Anterolateral margins of pronotum with a submarginal dorsal depression. Hemelytra with costal angles slightly obtuse. Membranal suture convex. Abdomen. Medial spine of the third urosternite doesn’t reach the metacoxae. Spiracles green.
