Chinavia brasicola (Rolston)

Acrosternum (Chinavia) brasicola Rolston, 1983: 157-158, figs. 171–176.

Coloration. Predominantly green. Lateral margins of juga and pronotum black, followed by a red band. Black spots on the inner margin of the cicatrices of pronotum. Basal angles of scutellum with 1+1 black spots. Connexivum and urosternites red. Black macula present in posterolateral angles of connexivum and urosternites. Head. Margins of juga with a strong concavity in front of the eyes, apex of head broadened and semicircular. Proportion of antennal segments: I<II<III<IV≈V. Rostrum reaching metacoxae. Proportion of rostral segments: I<II>III>IV. Thorax. Anterolateral margins of pronotum with a submarginal dorsal depression. Hemelytra with costal angles slightly obtuse. Membranal suture convex. Abdomen. Medial spine of third urosternite doesn’t reach metacoxae. Spiracles black surrounded by a green callus.

Distribution. Brazil (SP, SC, RS*).

Families of plants as possible hosts. Dennstadiaedtiaceae (Schwertner & Grazia 2007).
