Chinavia esmeralda (Rolston)

Acrosternum (Chinavia) esmeraldum Rolston, 1983: 120-121, figs. 43–48.

Coloration. Predominantly green. The lateral margins of juga and pronotum are black, followed by a yellow band. Basal angles of scutellum with 1+1 yellow spots. Connexivum green and urosternites yellow. Black macula only in urosternite. Head. Margins of juga with a slight concavity in front of eyes, apex of head large and semicircular. Proportion of antennal segments: I<II<III<IV≈V. The rostrum reaches the metacoxae. Proportion of rostral segments: I<II>III>IV. Thorax. Anterolateral margins of pronotum with a submarginal dorsal depression. Presence of callus near humeral angle, concolor with pronotum. Hemelytra with costal angles slightly obtuse. Membranal suture convex. Abdomen. Medial spine of the third urosternite surpasses the metacoxae, but not reaching mesocoxae. Spiracles black surrounded by a yellow callus.
