Rhaphigaster sarpinus Dallas, 1851: 276 (synonymized by Uhler 1878).

Coloration. Predominantly green. The lateral margins of juga and pronotum are black. The colored bands are yellow. Scutellum with five irregular yellow dots on the basis. Connexivum and urosternites yellow. Black macula in the posterolateral angles of connexivum and urosternite. Head. Margins of juga with a slight concavity in front of eyes, apex of head large and semicircular. Proportion of antennal segments: I<II≈III<IV>V. Rostrum surpasses the metacoxae. Proportion of rostral segments: I<II>III>IV. Thorax. Anterolateral margins of pronotum with a submarginal dorsal depression. Hemelytra with costal angles slightly obtuse. Membranal suture convex. Abdomen. Medial spine of third urosternite doesn’t reach the metacoxae. Spiracles green surrounded by a yellow callus.

Comments. This species has a large area of occurrence in North America, occurring in sympatry with C. marginata in south of United States and middle Mexico, but can be distinguished by the medial spine of thir urosternite don’t reaching the metacoxae and by the connexivum with yellow coloration.
