Coloration. Predominantly green. The lateral margins of juga are green, and margins of pronotum are yellow, both followed by a red band. Scutellum with five irregular yellow dots on the basis. Apex of scutellum yellow. Connexivum green and urosternite red. Black macula in the posterolateral angles of connexivum and urosternite. Head. Margins of juga with a strong concavity in front of eyes, apex of head large and semicircular. Proportion of antennal segments: I<II<III<IV>V. Rostrum reaches the metacoxae. Proportion of rostral segments: I<II>III>IV. Thorax. Anterolateral margins of pronotum without a submarginal dorsal depression. Hemelytra with costal angles slightly obtuse. Membranal suture convex. Abdomen. Medial spine of third urosternite reaches the metacoxae. Spiracles green not located on callus but surrounded by a yellow spot.

Comments. This species this species can be confused with Chinavia marginata Palisot de Beauvois. Chinavia dubia has yellow coloration in the apex of scutellum and around the spiracles, absent in C. marginata.
