Duties and Responsibilities While on Study Trip

TRIP SPONSOR SHALL:

1. Have a list of telephone numbers for emergencies. This list should be distributed to parents and teachers. A recall roster will be coordinated with parents for emergency use, i.e., late return.
2. Provide for appropriate supervision according to grade level of all students throughout the trip. The chaperone to student ratio should be 1:6 for elementary and 1:10 for MS and HS. More chaperones may be needed for Pre-k or LIMS students.
3. If student's behavior warrants, contact sponsor for his/her pick up.
4. Be aware of special needs of students, i.e., medical problems, food or drug allergies, etc.
5. Ensure that an approved first aid kit is brought along. These are available in the School Nurse's Office.

ALL PARTICIPANTS SHALL:

1. Maintain a positive image in the host nation while on the bus and on site.
2. Refrain from consuming intoxicating beverages and illegal drugs.
3. Follow all reasonable requests and/or directions of an adult.
4. Follow school discipline policy.
