DRAFT - UNDER REVIEW - DRAFT
In order to provide students with a well thought-out sequential curriculum it is expected that teachers will write lesson plans. The lesson plans should address the items in their course standards. Additionally, lesson plans should have an objective that is written: "The student will be able to:".
Teachers can choose to write their lesson plans in a plan book or on the computer. Teachers may also be asked to provide copies of their plans to the administration during observations or conferences, and to have available upon informal walkthroughs.
Teachers are expected to have sub plans available. Generic sub plans should be provided to be placed in the notebook in the office or the office notebook should direct the sub to where the emergency plans are located in the classroom.
If a teacher is aware of an upcoming absence, the teacher should prepare plans and communicate with the school secretary where the plans will be located for the substitute. Many times it is possible for the teacher to know who his/her substitute will be and this allows the teacher to review the sub plans with the substitute.
