Educational Travel (EDT)

• Educational Travel (EDT): PA has to be terminated for dependents that left the employee’s duty location under this type of orders.

Example –

• According to your EDT orders for your dependent, he/she left Korea o/a 6 Jan 2018 for college and was supposed to return from college o/a 28 Jun 2018.
• Based on this, you need to submit an SF 1190 in DAPS to terminate him/her from your PA as of 6 Jan 2018 and then restart claiming him/her when he/she returns.
• Then you need to submit 1190 again to terminate him/her when he/she leaves Korea again.
• To do all this, you need to provide a copy of his/her airline ticket or travel itinerary to verify his/her actual travel dates.
