DRAFT - UNDER REVIEW - DRAFT
DoDEA is well-funded as evidenced by our facilities, curriculum, and other equipment. Therefore, fundraising must be kept to a minimum and, where considered necessary, must be accomplished without resorting to involuntary contributions by students or their sponsors. Fundraising activities should not conflict with sound educational objectives. Students should NOT be going door to door to sell items. Regulations prohibit charges to students attending events during school hours. Activity sponsors should consult with the principal prior to any sale to confirm activity time and date. Funds raised for a specific purpose/goal must be encumbered for that purpose/goal. PTOs should be used to solicit volunteers and keep fundraising to a minimum.
