Becoming involved in school programs is helpful in establishing strong and lasting ties with students. DoDEA Pacific East schools offer a wide variety of extra duty assignments that are bound to meet your interests. Activities will be advertised in the spring and fall of each school year. Teachers interested in one of these positions must fill out an application and submit it to the administration. If you are interested in sponsoring a new extra duty activity, an application should be submitted. Contracts will be signed explaining the duties and compensation.
This regulation establishes policies and procedures governing compensation for extra-duty assignments in DoDEA. Teachers who apply and are selected by the administration for extra duty assignments will sign a contract out-lining the position responsibilities and compensation. Selections are made on qualifications. Teachers are responsible for documentation of extra duty hours completed. Hours worked must be outside the duty day. Teachers are requested to submit completed hours to the office at the end of each month to administration. Pay actions for such positions will be processed upon completion of the extra duty assignment.
