Negotiated Agreement Between Department of Defense Dependents Schools and the Overseas Education Association

Collective bargaining Agreement between Overseas Federation of Teachers, AFT, AFL-CIO and the Department of Defense Dependents Schools.

The National Education Association (National Level), the Federal Education Association (State Level), and the Teacher Educator Association Korea (TEAK - Local Level) enjoy exclusive recognition as the Professional Teachers Association in Korea. The Association shall represent the interests of all employees in the unit without discrimination and without regard to labor organization membership.

The Faculty Representative Spokesperson (FRS) is selected by NEATA/FEA/TEAK members and represents all teachers in the school. The FRS is entitled to act for and negotiate agreements covering all employees in the unit. Monthly Joint Cooperation Committee meetings are held between the FRS and the Principal to discuss matters of mutual concern and facilitate understanding and constructive relationships.
