DRAFT - UNDER REVIEW - DRAFT
A request for study trips should be submitted per your school's guidance at least three weeks prior to the proposed dates of the activity. The bus transportation request forms will also be part of the web based system If necessary, arrangements should be made for a substitute.
A list of students who will be on the study trip will emailed to the Attendance Clerk and staff at least five days prior to the activity. This must be done without exception. The faculty sponsor should notify the Attendance Clerk of the students who were on the excused list but did not attend.
No overnight trips are to be planned without prior administrative approval from the DSO. The cut-off date for second semester study trips is May 15. After this date, no study trips will be taken.
All study trip requests should be submitted at least two weeks in advance. In approving study trips, consideration will be given to the availability of transportation resources.
A study trip is a part of the regular school curriculum. All students in the class will be given the opportunity to participate. The sponsor of the study trip is responsible for informing other teachers and cafeteria staff of the date, time, and participants going on the study trip a minimum of 5 school days prior to the trip. Students will not be marked absent. The parental permission form ensures that the absence from other classes and other school-related activity is an excused absence and that the student has the right to make up work missed in those classes as a result of the field trip. The discipline policy applies to all field trips. Offenses of the policy will be acted upon in the same manner as offenses on the school campus.
