It is in everyone’s best interest that we keep our parents informed of their child’s progress in school. This can be accomplished by mid-quarter progress reports, written or typed notes sent home, phone calls home, or by parent conferences. The office will send mid-quarter reports to all students via email through GradeSpeed.
Communication with parents is the most powerful tool we have as educators.
By calling parents to discuss both student problems and success stories, we enhance understanding, eliminate serious problems from developing and create a positive relationship with the community. A classroom email about upcoming events is also a great tool.
Parents typically request conferences with teachers directly by email.
In keeping with our School Home partnership please try respond to all emails and phone calls within twenty-four hours or as quickly as possible.
Additionally, teachers should check GradeSpeed messages on a regular basis as some parents use that as a conduit for communication.
