Whenever a student is absent from school for any length of time (one period, one day, etc), the parent must email the school's main office with a contact phone number, the date, and the reason for the absence.
Students are required to report to the Main Office to check in and have their absence verified. The office staff will record the date of the absence and whether it is excused or unexcused in the student’s attendance records. Parents must verify all absences through the above methods immediately upon the student’s return to school.
Failure to do so will result in the student’s absence marked truant or unexcused and disciplinary measures may be taken (after school detention or Saturday School) until the parent/sponsor verifies the absence.
PLEASE NOTE: The final decision regarding the legitimacy of an absence will rest with school administration.
