Environmental Morale Leave (EML)

Each regular staff member is provided a maximum of two EML flights per school year to these locations: CONUS, Hawaii, Japan, Guam

Forms for requesting EML can be obtained from the secretary. It is important to note that if these orders are not used, they must be returned for cancellation.

DoDEA teachers and family members traveling with their sponsors will be assigned travel Category II during holiday/vacation periods in the September through June school year.

During the summer vacation period, travel is at Category IV when traveling to/from authorized destinations.

Sometimes it is not possible to obtain a seat on a return flight. It is important to remember that you are expected to have enough money to purchase a return ticket so that you do not exceed your authorized leave.
