CLASS RECORD BOOK

It is required that grading records be kept in Gradespeed after third grade.

Kindergarten through third grade teachers keep updated records for each student. Please see your school administrator for further guidance.

ASPEN

Teachers are required to keep a complete and accurate record of attendance for each class in ASPEN. THIS IS THE OFFICIAL RECORD FOR THE SCHOOL, so it must be complete and accurate. Attendance for each class period will be reported to the office as designated by the Administration. In case of discrepancies in records, the teacher's attendance book will be the official record.

CLASS SIZE

Every effort will be made to maintain reasonable class sizes; however, teachers are to accept any child sent to their classes. If changes must be made, arrangements can be made later through the office.

CLASSROOM CARE

The responsibility for a neat and orderly classroom rests primarily with the teacher assigned to the room for the major portion of the day. The most appealing rooms are those that are attractive, well ventilated, well arranged, with the floor free from paper and books.

NOTE: THE BULLETIN BOARDS LOCATED IN THE ROOM ARE TO BE USED FOR POSTING STUDENT WORK, D.B.'s ETC. A short clean-up period at the end of each session or period is desirable. Deliberate scratching, writing, or mutilation of the building or equipment should be reported to the office immediately.

The last teacher using a room each day is responsible for locking the windows and doors and checking any exterior door from which they exit. Necessary maintenance requirements should be submitted to through proper channel office.

Any irregularities caused by outside sources should be immediately reported to the office.

GUEST SPEAKERS

Teachers must notify the office well in advance and obtain the principal's approval for this activity. All visitors to the school are required to sign in the visitors' log in the Administrative Office and to have a visitors' badge prominently secured to their person.
