Example 1: Bullying

Positive - if someone has challenged bullying, they may become more emotionally resilient, which improves their emotional development. This may support them in future situations, so socially, they may be more confident than others.

Negative -emotionally, someone may lose confidence, may be less emotionally resilient, low self-esteem, get depressed or self-harm as a response. Socially, they may avoid going into places where they may bump into bullies, for example going to meet friends, may be less prone to making friends in case they also bully you. Physically, may stop you from joining extra curriculum activities such as football club. Cognitively, some may stop going back to school therefore missing out vital education, may not be able to concentrate in class.
