Quote: “God bless you for trying to help.”
Background: Ishmael Neely once had high hopes. He had a flock of people who respected him, a church of his own and a helpful young pastor to aid him. He has lost his faith and friend and he seemed to be doing his best to drink the rest of his life away.
Through the Ebon Cross's efforts he is restored with a stronger vital faith and community eager to help him.
Description: Ishmael Neely is a short, thin African-American man with dark, wrinkled skin and thin, wire-rimmed spectacles.
At 60, what little hair he has left has gone gray, fading to white in the back. Before his son’s death, he kept himself well groomed, but these days he seems disheveled and a bit out of focus. Ishmael wears a black suit and black shirt with a preacher’s white collar. His clothes are usually rumpled from sleeping in them, and his collar sometimes shows a red stain from spilled sacramental wine. His glasses are bent at the temples and slightly off-kilter.
