History of the Revolution
The Free Council saw the rebuilding of the Concilium as a opportunity to bring real change. It didn't pan out. The most experienced members had died in the war following the betrayel by the exile Cicero. The Silver Ladder and Guardians of the Veil worked hard to build a new order that would see the old ways preserved.
After a decade of failure, the order pulled favors, formented unrest, and back the charismatic and powerful mage Ezekiel for the position of Heirarch. To everyone's surprise he succeeded. The decade since then however has been frustrating. They are aggravatingly close to their goal of remaking the Consilium in the model of the Assembly. Progress has been slow as the other orders have united against further advancement.
With the war they have finally gotten their promise of democracy. A new councilor will be elected soon.
