Background: Once a mage in London called Portia, her boyfriend was a Sleeper named Anthony. Despite her every effort she was unable to Awaken him and his knowledge of her name, the paradoxes he helped create and his threat to the Veil became too great. She created a powerful spell to forcefully Awaken him.
It didn't work as planned. Anthony awoke to a realm unknown to the Awakened. He grew powerful quickly and soon people started to vanish. Portia herself had to kill him when he became too dangerous.
She vanished but the effect lingered, awakening those who came into contact with the remains of the previous False Awakening. She joined the Guardians and took on a new name.
