Weaver Spirit, Second Degree Disciple of the Arcana of Fate and Time
Background: The daughter of an eminent surgeon, Norna grew up with all the luxuries money could buy. Her parents invested in the first early signs of remarkable intelligence and creativity, encouraging their child prodigy. Norna mastered Spanish and Latin by the age of eight, and showed promise in a number of artistic pursuits, though her morbid imagery concerned her instructors.
Despite her family’s wealth, Norna lacked a normal upbringing. Her mother treated her more like a possession than a loved one, allowing Norna free expression while confining her with overprotectiveness. Her father showed true affection, but the two spent much of their quality time in the emergency ward and research labs of the U.I.C. Medical Center. His death left a huge void in her life.
Noma suffers from two inexplicable phenomena: flashes of precognition, which too often come true and hint at a terrible fate that looms before her; and a charmed life despite the frequent accidents that follow her. She had no conscious control over her magical talents and does not want to consider their implications.
She escaped the Men in Black, the Seers of the Throne, and Father Luke. She also refused her destiny and taken refuge with the Ebon Cross.
After the Revision: In another world she made a different choice. Her own choice. She became the Weaver. She remembers being Archne and her time with the Ebon Cross. She also remembers becoming the soul of the city, healing and rebuilding it.
Description: A 15-year-old girl with black hair drawn back severely from a high forehead. Her eyes were dark and knowing. Norna tended to dress in bulky skirts, stockings, and soft shoes - all black.
Norna uses her painting tools in her castings, painting the air to enforce higher law. As a dedicated magical tool she uses a set of plastic paint brushes and glass bottles of paints.
As the Weaver she is a spider the size of a person with silver and black chitin. She is a potent spirit with powers over Fate and Time.
