So do we stay here and work to improve this country, in which God birthed us or go to a nice safe place?
Well, God does call some people to do good works in rich and safe countries?
I suppose so, in some cases. Being born in such a country is an indicator for God wanting us there, and if like Reinhardt Bonnke, you move your head office to the USA in order to reach the target nations more easily, certainly that is possible.
Having said that if He does not call you clearly to go elsewhere then He probably wants you here. There is tremendous scope for good work.
If you are afraid and think you family is not safe then maybe you can hide yourself in a rich country, who knows?
This is not intended to condemn anyone but lets face what scripture says.
18. And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.19. “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,20. “teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
Matthew 28:18-20
7. “He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.8. “But the fearful, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
Revelation 21:7-8
13. And Mordecai told them to answer Esther: “Do not think in your heart that you will escape in the king’s palace any more than all the other Jews.14. “For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
Esther 4:13-14
10. Then He said to them, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.11. “And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven.12. “But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons. You will be brought before kings and rulers for My name’s sake.13. “But it will turn out for you as an occasion for testimony.14. “Therefore settle it in your hearts not to meditate beforehand on what you will answer;15. “for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist.16. “You will be betrayed even by parents and brothers, relatives and friends; and they will put some of you to death.17. “And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake.18. “But not a hair of your head shall be lost.19. “By your patience possess your souls.
