There is common notion in the modern gospel that its all good news, and if it doesn't make me feel happy then it isn't true.
The reason for this is just good old idolatry and narcissism.
(narcissism by the way is just infant behavior in someone with an adult body)
What is quite surprising, and for me refreshing, is that Jesus is very verbal about the blessing when we obey and the curse when we disobey.
Get a hold on this: Surprising responses by God is red bold text
7 “But when the king heard about it, he was furious. And he sent out his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.
8 “Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy.
9 ‘Therefore go into the highways, and as many as you find, invite to the wedding.’
Matthew 22:1-9
46 “the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.
Luke 12:46
28 ‘Therefore take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents.
29 ‘For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away.
30 ‘And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
Matthew 25:28-30
Guys, there is still a Law at work in our born again lives, so don't this is about reviving Moses. But lawlessness is till sin as Jesus is soo clear about
23 “And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’
Matthew 7:23
