When faced with sin and failure, typically something like divorce Christians often say, “Life happens”.
This is true. A critical question though is which life happened? The first Adam of the last Adam.
In the world we will have persecution but much of the pain and suffering Christian experience is because of sin. It is impossible to rehabilitate the first Adam. The gospel is the good news that God has in Christ delivered us form the first Adam and his cursed biological life into the Last Adam and into His blessed Spiritual life called ZOE.
This is the gospel. So now the question is are you living in the first Adam with some vague attempts at holiness and the notion that God’s love is unconditional towards the cursed first Adam, or are you in Christ by FAITH and BAPTISM?
We have inherent sinful DNA in the first Adam and resurrection DNA in the Last Adam. The critical success factor is FAITH. Do you believe the transition is the cross?
45. And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.46. However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual.47. The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from heaven.48. As was the man of dust, so also are those who are made of dust; and as is the heavenly Man, so also are those who are heavenly.49. And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man. 50. Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption.
1 Corinthians 15:45-50
19. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.20. Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more,21. so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 5:19-21
22. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.
1 Corinthians 15:22
14. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come.
Romans 5:14
