Not everything written here is true. I wish it were, but claiming that would be arrogant and immature. We are all adults and I think a much better approach is, to say: "We believe all of this to the best of our understanding of scripture as illuminated by the Holy Spirit".
When we quote other people that does not imply we agree with everything they say, or that they agree with us on every point.
The purpose of discipleship, just like fathering, is to grow the little ones up so they can function like adults in a healthy community.
Mothering is good for little ones and plays out as “nurture & control”. Fathering is more applicable to older children or people and plays out as “equip & release”. We need both, but mothering has an expiry date.
As long as there is a pastortute in control then spiritual maturity and adulthood will always be impossible.
As passionate as we for the truth we cannot control or force you to believe or agree. Their is only one Way, Truth and Life, by the Spirit but until Christ returns we must all remain humble and teachable before Christ and the Spirit and brothers to one another.
You do have a brain, a Bible and the Holy Spirit and thus you are responsible for your response to the truth as well as to discern the mistakes, half-truths and exaggerations.
We honestly endeavor to share the Biblical truth here, and constructive dialogue is most welcome. We are sure we can grow by your response and perception.
Scripture allows us to teach each other, and reason together, but we must avoid foolish disputes and wrangling.
We do reserve the right to delete or hide your responses if we feel they do not contribute positively.
The teacher and preacher remains very much responsible before God and will be duly judged, don't you worry about that.
Blessings
