The body of Christ has been dismembered.
Satan has managed to so divide and break up the church into many "churches".
Although this is taught to be OK and "practical" Satan has so deceived the bulk of Christianity that we cannot function properly.
If there were one church in town then the brother who is living in sexual sin would be excommunicated. Now because there are 200 churches in town he can slip between the cracks.
Also the prophets cannot function because the pastors and the baby Christians just kick the prophets out or move to another consumer based church which offers more benefits for less commitment.
The single biggest factor for splitting the church into churches is the clergy.
The Saints typically love each other and celebrate each other regardless of doctrine, while the clergy warn separate isolate and control those they claim as their followers.
