1. Thus says the Lord: “Heaven is My throne,
And earth is My footstool. Where is the house that you will build Me?
And where is the place of My rest?
2. For all those things My hand has made,
And all those things exist,”
Says the Lord.
“But on this one will I look:
On him who is poor and of a contrite spirit,
And who trembles at My word.
Isaiah 66:1-2
Each one of us is a living stone in that house making a very particular contribution
4. Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious,5. you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.6. Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture,
“Behold, I lay in Zion
A chief cornerstone, elect, precious,
And he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame.”
7. Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who are disobedient,
“The stone which the builders rejected
Has become the chief cornerstone,”
1 Peter 2:4-7
11. And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,12. for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,13. till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;14. that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting,15. but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—16. from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
Ephesians 4:11-16
As soon as we have a sedentary leadership who want to control the saints we have entered the mothering phase and growth and progress will stop
When we were heavily involved in our previous campus ministry SCC back in 1995, we use to have intercession meetings in the Hofmeyer Saal in Church Street. These meetings were the most powerful repeatable events of my life. The presence and the fear of God was tangible.
20. Then Saul sent messengers to take David. And when they saw the group of prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as leader over them, the Spirit of God came upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied.21. And when Saul was told, he sent other messengers, and they prophesied likewise. Then Saul sent messengers again the third time, and they prophesied also.22. Then he also went to Ramah, and came to the great well that is at Sechu. So he asked, and said, “Where are Samuel and David?” And someone said, “Indeed they are at Naioth in Ramah.”23. So he went there to Naioth in Ramah. Then the Spirit of God was upon him also, and he went on and prophesied until he came to Naioth in Ramah.
1 Samuel 19:20-23
Fred was our leader and indeed the experience in Naioth in Ramah as described above was tangible. The fear of God use to come upon by Wednesday and all sin ceased. We started repenting and drawing near to the Lord in expectation of the indescribable meetings that we had in the Hofmeyer Saal.
