Narrator: And now…the conclusion of our story. 97 chapters later and we’re still leaving people in shock and awe… (Single cough) Eh…well onto the story! And as for me, on to the Classified section of the newspaper! Maybe I can replace that Geico lizard! Oh right, the story! It’s been a month since the wedding and big changes are certainly in the mix here.
Tracey: So you guys are moving too?
Drew: You’ve got it!
May: (Singing) California here we come! Right back where I started from!
Drew: Curse that damn O.C. show!
Tracey: Wait, if you guys are moving to California, then maybe you’ll move near Marisa and you can check on her.
Drew: Not exactly Tracey.
May: She’s going to be in San Francisco and we’re going to be in Los Angeles. We’re kind of separated by five hours and several congested highway lanes.
Tracey: (Sighs) I don’t like all of these changes one bit! It feels like everyone is leaving as fast as they can! (Theresa walks up)
Theresa: Hello guys!
May: Hi Theresa!
Drew: Misty not working today?
Theresa: Oh, didn’t you hear? Misty quit! Yeah, she got this new job as some teacher’s assistant at an elementary school.
Tracey: (Thinking) I wonder what’s next for me. (At Ash and Misty’s apartment)
Misty: Hello. Oh hi Violet! (Gasp) You had the baby?
Violet: Yeah…it’s a baby girl.
Misty: Oh that’s so great to hear. What’s her name?
Violet: Blossom!
Misty: That’s so great! (The door opens) Oh that must be Ash. Listen, you just get your rest and I’ll come by to visit you tomorrow.
Ash: Who was that?
Misty: Oh that was Violet telling me she had the baby. It’s so great to hear that she’s doing well.
Ash: Yeah… (Yawns) Huh? Oh sorry, just a very long day.
Misty: Ash, are you feeling okay? I’m just a little concerned. I mean, after the honeymoon the intimacy kinda stopped.
Ash: Oh…it’s just…I fear…I mean well…I’m afraid of another disappointment. I mean well…
Misty: You mean the miscarriage incident? It’s okay Ash…I’m okay. It’s like you said, these things happen sometimes and it wasn’t our fault. We’ll have a baby one day. (He smiles)
Ash: One day Mist! (Later at Marisa’s house)
Marisa: I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, packing sucks!
Laura: Yeah well you two have too much crap…
Marisa: Hey, not me…Her! She’s the one with a closet for shoes and another for clothes!
Michelle: Look who’s talking Miss Stuffed Animal Queen! And another thing, how come you haven’t asked your friends to help?
Marisa: Marcus is packing for his own move. Plus, his play starts tomorrow. So you know he’s busy at the moment. And as for Tracey…let’s just say he’s still sulking!
Laura: Still? He’s known for a month now!
Marisa: Tracey has every right to be upset. And besides, it’s not just us moving. Marcus is moving and May and Drew are about to move as well...It’s all a little overwhelming for him. (The next morning at the hospital)
Misty: Oh she looks so cute!
Violet: Isn’t she? (Sighs) I can’t believe I have my own little one.
Misty: So where are Lily and Daisy?
Violet: Back at the house! Oh Misty, you should have been there when I started to go into labor. Lily turned completely white when my water broke!
Misty: They were with you?
Violet: Those screaming nutcases? Yes! Most entertaining thing ever!
Misty: And where’s Dorian?
Violet: Oh he went to get me something to drink. Misty…seeing her come into this world…it was the best feeling for me. (Misty smiles) I know one day you’ll be a wonderful mother.
Misty: I’m happy for you Violet. (A little later in another area of the hospital)
Doctor: Just come back for another appointment in a couple of weeks.
Anabel: Yes…thank you Doctor. (She walks out of the room) Huh? I know her. Misty Waterflower? (She turns around)
Misty: Yes, do I know you?
Anabel: It’s me Anabel! We went to high school together!
Misty: OH! Anabel! So sorry, the green hair kind of threw me off! How have you been?
Anabel: Things have been a little…strange! What are you doing here?
Misty: Oh, my older sister just had a baby and I came to check on her.
Anabel: Oh that was nice. I’m kind of here for a similar situation. I just found out I’m pregnant.
Misty: Congratulations.
Anabel: Thank you. So Misty…how are you and Ash doing?
Misty: We’re doing great! It’s been a month since we got married and everything has been running smoothly.
Anabel: That’s really great to hear Misty. I have to go now. But it was nice seeing you again. (A little later at Brock’s apartment)
Brock: You slept with Princess Apple?
Ash: Yes!
Brock: Does Misty know?
Ash: No!
Brock: …You slept with Princess Apple?
Ash: YES!
Brock: …How was it?
Ash: Ugh! Brock, I was too drunk to even remember the fine details! I just know that when I woke up after the party, I was naked on your driveway. And then I keep having flashbacks of me with Princess Apple. I’m pretty sure I slept with her. I don’t know what to do now. I’m a wreck.
Brock: You cannot tell Misty. It’s best that you don’t tell her about this.
Ash: But…
Brock: Ash, no! You’ve got a good thing going here. Now if you tell her that, your new marriage will be in jeopardy. Plus keep in mind, you slept with Apple one time and it was days before your wedding. As far as you’re concerned, it was a one time thing and it’ll never happen again. So you should just forget about it and focus on Misty!
Ash: But…
Brock: FORGET! (A little later at Misty’s apartment)
Misty: Oh good you’re home. Get washed up because we’re going back out again. Tonight is opening night of Phantom of the Opera.
Ash: Already?
Misty: Yes, now come on Ash. I don’t want to miss Marcus’s final performance before he moves to New York.
Ash: I’ll go wash up!
Misty: By the way Ash, I ran into someone from high school while I was out today.
Ash: Oh really? Anyone I know?
Misty: Indeed. Remember Anabel?
Ash: Oh yeah, Anabel. I haven’t seen her in ages! How is she doing?
Misty: Well, we only talked for a little bit. Turns out she’s pregnant! (Chuckling) Oh my God Ash, I know I shouldn’t laugh but you should have seen her hair. It’s lime green!
Ash: You…don’t say!
Misty: Oh yes! Green! Now get a move on! I don’t want to be late! (He walks into the bathroom)
Ash: It couldn’t have been Anabel…could it? Nah! (Later at the theatre)
Vivian: (Sobbing) Oh Marcus…I know it’s time for you to spread your wings and soar high, but I wish it wasn’t coming so soon.
Marcus: Are you going to be like that for the rest of the performances?
Vivian: I can’t help it Marcus. You’ve been in my productions for over eight years now and now the time is running out.
Misty: Marcus! We came to give the star a nice bouquet!
Marcus: Oh Misty, you shouldn’t have!
Duplica: Aw, you see Marcus. Not all of your friends are crying nutcases!
Marisa: Nice Marcus! And for the record, I am not now nor have I ever been a crying nutcase!
Marcus: Heh-heh! I wasn’t referring to you of course!
Tracey: Great job tonight Marcus!
Marcus: Thanks Man! So little buddy, did you got everything all packed?
Marisa: Not yet. The movers will be over in a couple of days. It just feels weird being in that house with all those boxes there.
Marcus: So little buddy, are you going to do any shows before you leave town.
Marisa: Nope…nothing booked!
Ash: Okay Mist, I’m gonna get the car from across the street and I’ll swing by and get you. Great job Marcus! (In the car) Hmm… (Stomach growling) Might as well get something to eat for later! (Pulls into gas station)
Ash: I’ll have this bag of Cheetos and the Hot Pocket!
Anabel: Ash Ketchum?
Ash: Huh? Princess Apple…it’s you!
Anabel: That’s my stage name. It’s really Anabel.
Ash: Oh…shit!
Anabel: I assume your wife told you she ran into me earlier.
Ash: Anabel…what happened that night…it was… (Angrily) It was nothing! It was absolutely nothing! You took advantage of me when I was drunk!
Anabel: WHAT?! That is far from the truth! You pulled all of my clothes off and then…I guess I…
Ash: Took advantage of a drunk man!
Anabel: We’re both at fault! And I think it’s wise that the both of us take responsibility for the actions of that night. And the fact that there’s a 50/50 chance that the baby I’m carrying is yours.
Ash: Anabel…listen to me! It was a one-night stand and that was it! I am not the father of your baby and I do not want to see you again…EVER! (Goes to the counter) Here’s $5.00.
Man: Thank you and have a nice night! (The next day at Misty’s apartment)
Misty: Oh man…I’m running late! (Doorbell ringing) Just a minute! Where are my car keys? (Doorbell ringing) Just a sec! Where’s my folder? (Doorbell ringing) WAIT A ****ING SECOND! (Opens the door) Oh…Anabel?
Anabel: I need to speak to you!
Misty: Do you think it could wait? I’m in a big hurry!
Anabel: No…it can’t. I think you should know this.
Misty: Okay…
Anabel: (Sighs) Misty…I know I never got to know what true romance is. I got mixed up in all the wrong things like abusive boyfriends, drugs, and prostitution.
Misty: Um…okay.
Anabel: (Inhales and exhales) The baby I’m carrying…it might or might not be Ash’s!
Misty: What?!
Anabel: Please let me explain. I was the dancer they hired for his bachelor party. He had a little too much to drink that night. I offered to have him sleep it off in my car and then…somehow it didn’t end well.
Misty: You…slept…with my husband? (She nods) I…cannot believe this!
Anabel: I’m sorry Misty. You have every right to be angry at me. (Tears up) But…he has no feeling for me. You have to trust me on that! Why else do you think he married you? (She stands up) Misty?
Misty: I feel so betrayed. Thank you for bringing this information to me…Now get out! (She stares at Misty) I SAID GET OUT! (A little later at the police station)
Joel: Long night Ketchum?
Ash: Guess you can say that. I was at the theatre for most of the night! (Door opens)
Solana: Hi Misty! Ash, your wife is here! (He walks to her)
Ash: Hi honey! (She throws a suitcase at him)
Misty: You selfish pig! You slept with a stripper? And now she’s carrying your baby!
Ash: What the…? How did you? I mean…
Misty: Your little whore visited me and told me that the baby she’s carrying might be yours! You sleep with a stripper nights before our wedding. You hid this from me! YOU’RE DEAD TO ME!
Lunick: You slept with Princess Apple?! NOOOOO! Not my Princess Apple!
Misty: I want you out of the house! I HATE YOU ASH KETCHUM! (She runs out crying)
Joel: Married for one month and it’s already heading for a divorce. (Sighs) Marriage leaves nothing but trouble! (Ash tears up)
Ash: MISTY! (Later at Winona’s apartment)
Winona: It’ll be okay Misty!
Lanette: Yeah, maybe the two of them were really drunk and…
Winona: You’re not helping one bit!
Bebe: Do you want some more ice cream sweetie?
Misty: (Sniffling) Leave the tub! No wonder he’s been saying apple in his dream. I thought he was just dreaming about eating Apple Jacks cereal! How could he have done such a thing? And to make things worse, is that he hides it from me like a little child!
Lanette: The truth hurts, just face it! He was afraid the truth was going to hurt you and he’s right. The truth is an ugly thing, but someone needs to say it. However, Ash was completely in the wrong for keeping something like that a secret. (Knock on the door) I’ll get it! (Opens the door) Oh, it’s Ash!
Misty: Tell him I’m not here!
Ash: I know you’re there Misty! I can see you with a tub of ice cream. Can I come in?
Winona: How about this? You two go outside and solve your problems out there! You moved out already so you should be fighting in your own place…understand?
Misty: Yeah, yeah Winona! (Outside)
Ash: Look Misty…I’m sorry.
Misty: Sorry for what Ash?
Ash: For everything! Look, I had no idea what was going on that night! And I didn’t figure out it was really Anabel until last night!
Misty: Ash…I’m not upset about the fact that it was Anabel. What I’m most upset about is that you hid this from me. Ash, marriage is about being honest with your partner. And the fact that you were not honest with me and during our vows, our wedding, our honeymoon…It’s making me wonder if I should ever trust you again!
Ash: Did you really want me to say I ****ed a prostitute on accident in the middle of our wedding? There’s a time and place for everything you know!
Misty: Well maybe we rushed into this marriage a little too soon.
Ash: Please don’t say that. (She gets in her car and drives away) This is seriously not happening! (Several days later at a restaurant)
Marcus: What can I say about our departing friend? Well…that just means a little less of a comedic genius here. But…she will truly be missed! (Clapping)
Marisa: Not much for words, are you? (Marcus starts sobbing) Ugh…Please don’t turn this into a sob-fest!
Brock: We truly are going to miss you Marisa!
Misty: Yeah! You’re truly a one of a kind person!
Marisa: Thanks you guys! I wonder where Ash could be. He promised he’d come to say goodbye.
Misty: I doubt that he’s coming.
Marisa: What happened?
Misty: Oh…it was just an ugly situation. Very complicated and ugly!
Brock: (Whispering) He slept with a prostitute!
Marisa: (Gasps) I could make a Bill O’Reiley joke, but that would be in bad taste and a bad time.
Marcus: Aw, it could have been the last right-wing joke…I would ever hear from you!
Marisa: Marcus, if I start headlining out there and you come see my show, you know you’ll hear a lot of right-wing jokes.
Marcus: No I won’t! How will I know if you’ll stay hating the republicans?
Marisa: Possibly the fact that I’m moving to a mostly liberal city!
Marcus: Ah, that is true!
Brock: So are you all packed up?
Marisa: (Sighs) Finally! The house is sold and we’re officially out!
May: Where are you going to stay until the drive?
Marisa: Tracey offered to put me and my mom up for the night. Then tomorrow, we hit the road to California.
Drew: Well we wish you nothing but the best! (Ash walks in the room)
Ash: Mind if I say my goodbyes too!
Marisa: Ash, you made it! Hmm…This seems to bring back fond memories! We were all together like this the day before we graduated high school.
Harley: Oh, so it is! Those were the days!
Marisa: I realize some things are exactly the same from four years ago! I mean, Marcus just started a relationship, I’m about to experience the long-distance relationship, and Ash and Misty are in the middle of a big fight.
Misty: Well some things are far different from how it was back then.
Ash: Marisa, in all fairness, I am going to miss you. I’ve known you for over eight years now and without you around it’s going to feel weird.
Marisa: Ash, I’m going to miss you too. I’ll miss all of you guys. Tonight I say, good luck to you all…except for Marcus. For him I say break a leg…or I’ll come to New York and break yours! (Laughing) Oh but seriously folks, you guys better be this nice when it comes time for Marcus, May, and Drew to leave.
Harley: And me! Nando and I are going on tour with this dancing group!
Marisa: That’s great Harley!
Harley: But of course we will always send letters to you all. And pictures!
Brock: NO PICTURES! (All laughing)
Harley: I wasn’t being dirty, you naughty boy! (That night in Tracey’s room)
Tracey: (Yawns) Huh? Marisa? Where did she go? (He walks outside) Huh?
Marisa: (Humming and singing)
…And all this love is waiting for you
And all, all my love is waiting for you
I had some problems
And no one could seem to solve them
But you found the answer
You told me to take a chance
And learn the way of love… (Turns around)
Tracey: …You…you have a beautiful singing voice. I’m glad I finally got to hear it.
Marisa: (Blushing) Oh sorry…I’ll be back inside soon. I couldn’t sleep. So many things were rushing through my head. (She sits down) Come and sit with me!
Tracey: So, this is what you do when you can’t sleep?
Marisa: Yeah…I just sit out here to think. I haven’t done it for a long time, but I guess I have a big journey ahead of me. (Tracey sighs) Tracey…I… (He tears up) Oh come on, don’t be like that. I need you to be strong for me… (Tears up) Because I’ll start crying!
Tracey: You have no idea how much I’m going to miss you! (He embraces her)
Marisa: (Sniffling) I’m going to miss you so much! (Back at Misty’s apartment)
Misty: (Sighs) It feels lonely without him by my side. (She walks outside) Ah!
Ash: Ouch!
Misty: Ash, what are you doing sleeping on the front porch?
Ash: Sorry, I didn’t want to sleep anywhere else. I’ve been sleeping out here for the last few nights. Ever since you kicked me out! Misty…this should prove to you that I miss you and don’t want to be away from you any longer. I miss you so much. Do you think that if I had sex with Anabel and enjoyed it, I would be over there bugging her?
Misty: Good point. (Sighs) I just don’t know anymore.
Ash: Please Misty… (She stares at him) You have to trust me! (The next morning in front of Tracey’s house)
Marcus: You make sure to call once you get to your new place.
Marisa: I will.
Marcus: And I expect an email at least once a day. (She growls) Okay fine, once a week.
Marisa: You’ve got it!
Marcus: I’m going to miss you Marisa.
Marisa: You too Marcus. Break a leg in New York! (They hug)
Tracey: Marisa, I’m no good at goodbyes!
Marisa: Tracey, I already know that since we both fell asleep crying in each other’s arms.
Marcus: You cried in each others arms? Oh my God, that is pure gold! (She giggles)
Tracey: One final kiss?
Marisa: Final? For now, you mean? (They kiss on the lips)
Tracey: I’ll miss you Marisa… (Horn honking)
Michelle: Let’s go honey! We got to hit the road before all the idiots get on!
Marisa: I guess this is goodbye you guys.
Marcus: For now. But be prepared for visits!
Marisa: Bye you guys! (The car starts up and drives away)
Tracey: Goodbye…Marisa…
Marcus: So what are you going to do Tracey?
Tracey: Hmm…That’s for me to know…and for you to find out! (He giggles)
Little buddy,
I’m glad things are going well in San Francisco. I’m getting settled here in Manhattan. It was scary at first, but luckily Duplica was able to settle my jangled nerves. Ah, she is such a God-send. I talked to Tracey the other day and he seems to be in good spirits. Though I wish I knew what he was up to. For the last few weeks he’s been distant. I would check up on the old boy if I were you. Well I’ll call you later babe!
-Marcus

Trace,
Don’t come looking for me. If anybody asks, tell them I died. Best of luck.

Dear Misty,
It’s so great hearing from you. And I’m so happy to hear you and Ash are on the mend. Like I told you, therapy will help with any relationship…well almost any. Heh-heh! How is everyone doing over there? I’m sorry to hear about Steven and Winona. It’s tragic to hear about Steven’s death over in Afghanistan. But I’m sure you’re being a good friend and checking in on her.
I’ve got a little good news on my end. Tracey came the other day. With him, a one-way ticket, an acceptance letter from the Art Institute, and a marriage proposal. And I accepted! Can you believe it? I’m engaged to be married! I guess it’s time for me to settle down. Go figure. So yeah, Tracey’s living with me and my mother. Funny once you hear it, but I’m enjoying it all! Well anyways, hit me back when you get a chance.
-Marisa
-----
Brock,
So happy to hear from you! Life on the road is a blast! Oh Nando and I have a blast every day. When our tour stops back at home, I’ll be sure to give you a free ticket to the show. Remember, if I do this for you, you have to promise to make me your best man when you and Suzy tie the knot. Ha! Just kidding! Glad to hear Suzy is doing well. Talk to you later doll-face!
-Harley

Dear Dawn,
Oh darling, it has been such a while. I’m glad you two settled down in Washington. Geez, you and Zoey have to go so far away. Well I’m coping without you guys, but miss you dreadfully every day. Dawn, you have to tell me when you’re coming back into town. I miss going to the mall with you. OH! I have a new boyfriend! His name is Aaron, oh and he’s so cute. With his cute and bouncy green hair! So beautiful! On another note Dawn, I saw your mother the other day when I was out. She was asking me if I’ve heard from you. I don’t know what happened between the two of you, but I hope you would one day make up with her. Well that’s all for now. Give Zoey my best!
-Brianna

Hi Misty,
Thanks for the call the other day. I’m always happy whenever I hear from you. I think we all knew that Richie wasn’t going to be the father, but it still hurts after hearing the results. But we’re doing okay. Richie said he’d check up on me and the baby every now and then. Awfully nice of him seeing as he isn’t the father. But that’s just how he is! Glad to hear everyone else is doing well. Give Winnie and Lanette my best.
-Sakura

Hi Drew,
That’s great to hear about May’s debut on the big screen. I can’t wait to see her on the big screen. I guess things are going fine for you guys in L.A. I always knew you would keep tabs on her. You know what’s best! Incidentally, Suzy told me that she’s expecting. I can’t believe it. I’m gonna be a father. Maybe you could give me some daddy tips. Everyone here is doing fine. Ash and Misty say hello. Ash is doing well at work and tells me that he and Misty are trying to plan on having a baby. But no luck as of yet! But hey, keep me posted.
-Brock
-----
Misty,
That’s so great to hear about Ash. I was nervous if Ash was really the father of Anabel’s baby. I’m sure you must be the most relieved out of this experience. Let me know if and when you end up pregnant. I’ll be sure to send you some of my old maternity clothes. Well everything is going great. Sara and Drew are loving every moment. On set, things are a little crazy, but that’s to be expected. I was fortunate enough to be casted in a movie where Marisa is one of the writers. What are the odds? I think the director said she was going to cast her as an extra. I’ll let you know when it comes out. Laters.
-May

Hey Harley,
Just writing to check up on you! I know when I joined you to Tucker’s funeral you weren’t in the best of moods. But I know that he is in a better place. Plus, you do have Nando. Be good to him. Well dude, I’m on the set crew to Avenue Q. It’ll be up in a couple of months. I could hook you up with some tickets. Check you later.
-Marcus

To all of our dear friends,
We hope you will join us for the marriage of Tracey and Marisa. July 8th. That’s right, we’re coming back to Pallet. Time to rock this town like a hurricane!
