~New Characters Introduced~
Brendan
Original Date of Post: 03/02/2008
Narrator: There’s nothing like the thrill of going on your first date. For some it could mean the greatest night of your life. Others, it could mean something you repress until it is resurfaced in therapy years later.
Marisa: YOU KISSED HIM?
Sakura: You shouldn’t have left the party early!
Misty: Well actually, he kissed me first. And then, it kind of gets a little hazy after that.
Marisa: Alright Misty! It is about time!
Sakura: I’ll say!
Marisa: So is it…official? (Misty blushes) Ha! You guys are a couple!
Sakura: I’m glad you’re finally out of the closet!
Misty: I am too. But I can’t help but to feel guilty. Marcus told me he loved me and I turned him down and then I’m making out with Ash. But then again, I like Ash!
Marisa: Misty, stop beating yourself up about this. I’ve known Marcus for many years and I’m sure he understands. He didn’t take it too hard when you said, “Let’s just be friends” did he?
Misty: No, he seemed pretty okay about the whole thing.
Sakura: Oh yeah Marisa! Tracey has been looking for you all morning.
Marisa: Really! I wonder what he wants. (Thinking) Crap, why did I kiss him? Now he’s probably going to crush my dreams. (Tracey walks up)
Tracey: Hey Marisa. You think I can talk to you in private?
Marisa: (Thinking) Oh crap, the moment of truth! (Aloud) I’ve got to go you guys. (They leave)
Sakura: I wonder what’s going on with them.
Misty: Who knows! Let’s check it out! (In the hallway)
Tracey: Okay, no more hiding!
Marisa: I’m so sorry Tracey. It was wrong of me to come onto you like that. It was just the heat of the moment and I guess I got a little carried away. (He kisses her on the cheek) What the hell?
Tracey: It’s okay. You may not have realized this but I’ve actually had a crush on you since the day I met you. (Marisa blushes)
Marisa: Holy crap! You did, really?
Tracey: Mm-hmm. You’re one of the nicest and honest girls I’ve met at this school.
Marisa: I can’t believe what you’re saying Tracey. For so long, I’ve wanted to tell you how much I liked you. But I was afraid it was going to smack me in the face if I told you. (He embraces her) Oh Tracey, I’ve longed to embrace you like this. (Miss Prima walks up)
Miss Prima: There will be none of that in the halls, thank you. (She walks off)
Marisa: Ugh! (Thinking) There goes my perfect moment! (Nearby)
Sakura: So that’s it!
Misty: That’s so cute, and so random. Somehow I never thought of Tracey and Marisa together as a couple.
Marcus: Boy, you two are so oblivious! (They both jump)
Misty: Where did you come from?
Sakura: Yeah and why are you calling us oblivious?
Marcus: Marisa has had a huge crush on Tracey for the LONGEST time. How you two weren’t able to see that is beyond me!
Misty: Well, you know Marisa inside-out so of course it’s in your nature to know. Plus, she never told us about any of her crushes.
Marcus: That’s a good point. For this whole time, she always came to me for guidance and no one else. For all of the years I’ve known Marisa, I’ve never seen her as happy as she is now. Come to think of it, this is the first boyfriend she’s ever had.
Sakura: Really? This is her first? Surely she must have had someone in the past.
Marcus: Nope. Just one admirer, Gary, who shall never be mentioned in her presence again!
Sakura: Yeah and I know how much she hates Gary.
Marcus: Oh yeah, Misty. I overheard that you and Ash hooked up.
Misty: Oh Marcus…
Marcus: It’s okay Misty. I’m actually happy that you’re with Ash. He may be dumber than Peter Griffin, but he’s a nice guy. I’m sure you’ll be happy with him.
Misty: Thanks Marcus.
Marcus: And just so you know, I won’t go on a shooting spree like what happened between Winona and Jackson.
Misty: That’s really comforting to know Marcus. (After school in the theatre)
Grace: I wonder what Miss Vivian called us down here for.
Kelly: It must be important if she said it was mandatory.
Erika: I hope it isn’t another one of those charity drives!
Grace: They’re for a worthy cause! (Miss Vivian walks out)
Miss Vivian: Hello students. As you all know, the end of the year is just around the corner. We’ve already had such a fabulous year so far with Guys & Dolls. Now, I was thinking if we could have a showcase concert near the end of the year. I know it sounds like something the choir would do, but I want to show off the thespians. Show everyone that you all are as talented as those choir stuck-ups and the big stuck-up of them all.
Marcus: Sibling rivalry I take it.
Miss Vivian: (Nervous laugh) Anyways, I would like to have you all do a little song for the concert and remember that duet and trio performances are encouraged.
Jessie: I like this idea!
Miss Vivian: But, I would like it if your song comes from a musical and I would like to keep one song per musical for the night. (Jessie and Harley glare at each other) Now here’s the sign-up sheet for you all.
Jessie: LOOK, A NAKED TUCKER!
Harley: WHERE?
Jessie: Ha-ha! That was almost too easy! Okay I’m doing West Side Story!
James: Thank you God she didn’t want to do a duet! I guess I can do a solo from Little Shop of Horrors!
Harley: I CAN’T BELIEVE I FELL FOR THAT!!! Ugh! She’s going to butcher up I Feel Pretty worse than George Bush butchers the English language!
Joshua: (Thinking) Crap! Erika will want me to do a duet with her. I have to get out of this one. I know! (Aloud) Hey Marcus! How would you like to do a duet with me?
Marcus: Sure thing. I was thinking of doing something from The Producers.
Joshua: Finally, something with two men!
Marcus: Alright, easy there! Don’t turn homo on me! (Erika walks up)
Joshua: Oh hi Erika! I’m sorry honey, but I’m going to be doing something with Marcus. You know, just us guys!
Erika: Oh, you boys will be boys after all! Grace, Kelly, and I will be doing Matchmaker from Fiddler on the Roof. So now, it’s time to let the girls be girls!
Joshua: That was a close one!
Miss Vivian: May, Drew, I would like to speak to you guys alone please.
Marisa: Miss Vivian, before you do that, could I speak to you about something.
Miss Vivian: Sure thing Marisa, what is it about?
Marisa: Miss Vivian, I love your idea. I really do. It’s just that, I’m not too enthusiastic about doing any singing whatsoever in front of people like everybody else. Would it be possible for me to do something else for the concert? Tech work, perhaps?
Miss Vivian: I knew this would come up with you! I know you don’t like the idea of singing in a small group or having a solo performance.
Marisa: I’m not comfortable unless I’m singing with a big group so no one could point out my crappy voice.
Miss Vivian: I have the perfect thing for you! How would you like to be the Emcee for the concert?
Marisa: PERFECT! I can do my own written material? (She nods) This is so cool, thank you so much.
Miss Vivian: Just as long as there’s no profanity! Where was I? Oh yes! Come into my office you two. (Inside the office)
May: What’s wrong Miss Vivian?
Miss Vivian: Nothing is wrong my dear. I was going to ask you two what you were thinking about doing for the concert.
Drew: Well, I haven’t really thought about it!
May: Me neither!
Miss Vivian: Well, I was kind of hoping that you two would team up once again and sing I’ve Never Been in Love Before.
May: You want us to do an encore performance?
Miss Vivian: As I always say, you must strike while the iron is hot! And that song left one hell of a lasting impression with the people at this school.
May: I guess I don’t see the harm in it. What about you Drew? (He flicks his hair)
Drew: Why not?
Miss Vivian: Oh thanks you two! (Outside the office)
Solidad: Okay, I guess I’m doing the Sound of Music.
Harley: Crap! Let’s see, I can’t do West Side Story, Little Shop of Horrors, The Producers, Fiddler on the Roof, or Sound of Music. What’s left for me? (Gasp) I know! And I have the perfect partner for that! Tucker!
Tucker: What is it Harley?
Harley: How would you like to do a duet with your Harley-bear?
Tucker: That sounds great! Hey wait a second! You have that look in your eye, meaning that you’re up to something.
Harley: Now why would you say that? I’ve got the perfect song that we can do! (He whispers in Tucker’s ear)
Tucker: You’ve got to be kidding me! You want us to do that? (Harley nods) But Harley, that’s a song for two girls, not for two guys like us!
Harley: Too late, we’re doing it!
Marisa: Oh, this is a big relief! I don’t have to sing! Oh May, what did Miss Vivian want to talk to you about?
May: She asked me and Drew to sing I’ve Never Been in Love Before for the concert.
Marisa: Really? That’s cool! You two did a great job in Guys & Dolls, so I’m pretty confident that you’ll knock them dead at the concert.
Drew: Hmm, you seem more chipper than usual! (Marisa blushes)
May: Yeah, I’ve never seen you so happy. In fact, you’ve been acting quite different since Misty’s party. Did something happen?
Marisa: You can say that.
Erika: She’s dating that boy in our class Tracey!
Marisa: How did you find out about that?
Erika: I saw the two of you holding each other in the hallway and kissing. Stop hiding in the closet nark! The whole point of having a boyfriend is to show him off and to make others jealous. (Marisa groans)
Drew: Tracey huh? I always thought that you and Marcus would have made a cute couple.
Marisa: Marcus and I are just friends!
Drew: Boy, Marcus is getting the 'just friends' card an awful lot lately!
Marisa: You guys don’t understand! You see, Marcus and I are like brother and sister so you should understand why we don’t date each other. But with Tracey, it’s a different story. Every time I’m near him, I’m rendered speechless. Once I was hit by Cupid’s arrow, I knew that he was the one.
May: I felt the same way when I first met Drew.
Marisa: But May, I thought you couldn’t stand Drew when you first met him.
May: Well once I got past his giant ego and arrogance, I realized that there was a sweet and caring guy underneath. (Drew groans) Say, I’ve got an idea! Why don’t you two go on a date?
Marisa: Well, we were thinking of doing…
May: I’m not finished! I was thinking of you doing a double date! With us!
Drew: Are you sure that’s such a wise idea?
Marisa: Yeah, I don’t think going on a double date is a great thing. I mean, this will be my very first date!
May: Don’t worry about it. It’ll be my first date too! (Marisa gasps) I know, it's shocking! I’ve never been on a single date. But of course Mr. Rose over here has been on a bunch of dates within the last two years. (Drew gives off a nervous laugh)
Marisa: You were such a player Drew! But as for the double date, I don’t know if I feel comfortable about this.
May: Look, it’s only going to be you, me, Drew, and Tracey. I mean, would you rather spend an evening with Joshua and Erika or Jessie and James? And then, there’s Harley and Tucker!
Marisa: OKAY! You’ve made your point! I’ll talk it over with Tracey and I’ll let you know about our decision tomorrow. (Outside the theatre)
Marcus: Hey man!
Tracey: Is Marisa in there?
Marcus: Yeah, she’s in there! You can go in there if you want.
Tracey: Okay.
Marcus: Oh Tracey…thank you!
Tracey: For what?
Marcus: You’ve made Marisa the happiest girl in the world. I can’t think of a better person for my little buddy to be with than you. You be sure and take good care of her!
Tracey: I will. (The door opens) Marisa!
Marcus: Well, I’ll leave you two alone. (He walks off)
Marisa: What was that about?
Tracey: Oh, he was just saying hello.
Marisa: Listen Tracey, May was telling me how much she wants us to do a double date with her and Drew. Now if you’re not up to the idea, I’ll understand completely! I told her it was a stupid idea.
Tracey: That sounds like fun! If it’s just the four of us, there shouldn’t be anything crazy going on, like what happened over the weekend.
Marisa: Don’t remind me! (Ash and Misty walk up)
Ash: Hey you guys!
Marisa: So how are you two doing?
Misty: We’re doing pretty well!
Ash: I heard you two hooked up! My congratulations to you guys!
Tracey: Thank you Ash!
Ash: Any plans?
Tracey: Well, this weekend we’re going on a double date with May and Drew.
Misty: Whose bright idea was that?
Marisa: It was May’s idea! But seeing as it’s just them, it might not be so bad.
Ash: As long as they don’t start fighting and make a big scene.
Marisa: Don’t jinx us Ash!
Misty: Well, we’re going to the movies on Saturday. Just the two of us!
Marisa: Have fun with that! (Ash and Misty walk away) Bye guys! I hope this double date goes well.
Narrator: So the double date was set for that Saturday. Marisa was able to get reservations to a nice Italian restaurant. For the remainder of the week, people all over school were talking about the newly formed couples. Well, most were talking about Ash and Misty hooking up.
Macey: Unbelievable! I cannot believe that Ash was holding out for that scrawny red-haired girl Misty!
Melody: You have to admit that they make the cutest couple!
Anabel: If I didn’t already have a boyfriend, I would be a bit jealous. But I’m glad that Ash and Misty are together.
Brawly: I always knew there was something between those two. I mean, Misty’s the total package. And that Ash! He’s got a nice ass! Oh crap! I said that out loud!
Sakura: Hey, why am I in this testimonial? I have no feelings towards Ash!
Narrator: So the day of the double date has finally come. Before the restaurant, Marisa was over at May’s house getting prepared for the night.
Marisa: I’m kind of nervous!
May: Me too!
Marisa: I still can’t believe that you’ve never actually been on a date. I guess I would have imagined you; the daughter of a famous actor would have gone on a couple of dates with some famous actors.
May: You’d think that, wouldn’t you? As many parties as I’ve been to with my dad, and with many actors I’ve met, I’ve never actually gone on a date with anybody. You see, my dad is kind of the overprotective type.
Marisa: Trust me, I know the feeling. My father is the same way! What did your father say when you told him you were going on a date with Drew?
May: Didn’t tell him! He’s away on another production assignment so he doesn’t know that I’m going on a date with Drew. (The door opens)
Max: May, have you seen my…
May: MAX! GET OUT OF MY ROOM! You know that when my door is closed, this room is off limits!
Max: But it’s always closed! (Caroline walks up)
Caroline: Come on Max, we shouldn’t disturb your sister when she’s getting ready for an important evening. (Max walks out) Are you girls ready for your double date?
May: Just about!
Caroline: I can’t believe it! It seems like only yesterday you were a little baby in my arms! (Max walks in)
Max: I have the pictures!
May: GET OUT MAX! (Max runs out) And Mom, please don’t get all mope-ish when the boys get here. (A horn honks) IT’S THEM!
Caroline: Okay, you two continue to get ready and I’ll let them in. (She leaves)
May: What did your parents say?
Marisa: Well both of them are out of town. But I did tell my mother and she’s happy that I’m going on my first date. We’ll probably tell my dad the day I move out and go off to college. (Caroline opens the door)
Caroline: Hi boys! May and Marisa should be ready in just a second. Why don’t you boys sit for a second? (Drew and Tracey walk inside and sit down)
Drew: Do you know when they’ll be ready?
Caroline: They should be out in a little bit!
Max: Hey, have you gotten very far with my sister yet?
Drew: WHAT?
Max: I don’t really know what that means but I overheard my sister talking and she said something about going really far with Drew. Do you know what she meant?
Caroline: Max! I apologize for Max’s behavior. (A door opens) Oh good, you girls are ready. You have a great time tonight!
May: We will!
Drew: Whoa!
May: What’s the matter? Why are you staring at me? Do I have something in my hair?
Drew: No, no, it’s just that um…Oh, never mind.
Tracey: Marisa, you look beautiful! (Marisa blushes)
Marisa: I don’t like to blush, but something about those compliments I can’t deny it.
May: You’ll get used to it! (The four walk out the door) I cannot believe my brother sometimes! The next time we have a double date, we’re getting ready at your house.
Marisa: My house is no better. I may not have any siblings, but it’s still chaotic with both of my parents. (A little later at the restaurant)
Tracey: This is a nice place! How did you get reservations?
Marisa: My mom and I come here all the time and my mom is friends with the manager, so we’ll be eating on a discount. (Drew and Tracey sigh)
Drew: Thank God, this place looks way too expensive. I mean come on, just look at this place! The menu was in Italian!
Marisa: Everything is going to be fine Drew. We’ll split the bill four ways and if you guys don’t have enough, I’ll cover you. I really don’t mind doing it! So let’s just drop that and talk about something else. (All agreeing)
Tracey: So Drew, I heard that you and May were going to be singing a duet for a concert in a couple of months.
Drew: Yeah.
Tracey: I don’t know why you won’t sing.
Marisa: I hate singing. That’s why I’m the emcee for the evening! It’s going to be so cool too because I can do my own written material.
Tracey: Well I have to give it to you two. I really wouldn’t have the guts to go up on stage and sing in front of an audience.
May: I love it! There’s nothing more thrilling than that! I’ve always loved performing in front of a large audience. (A boy walks up)
Brendan: I have to give it to you May, you are the same as ever. But I guess that’s why you were always the star of the plays at your old school. (May gasps)
May: Brendan?
Drew: Brendan?
May: What are you doing here?
Tracey: Who’s he?
Marisa: (Whispering) I don’t know. But judging by May’s expression, I take it he’s a skeleton in her closet. (Drew groans)
Drew: May, why don’t you introduce us to your friend.
May: (Nervously) Okay! Everybody, this is Brendan. He was a…friend at the school I used to go to. Brendan, this here is Marisa, Tracey, and my boyfriend Drew.
Brendan: It’s a pleasure to meet you Drew. (Brendan and Drew glare at each other) I’ll see you later May. (He walks away)
Drew: A friend?
May: Well…more like an ex-boyfriend. Excuse me for a second! (May gets up)
Tracey: It looks like May and Brendan are going to talk somewhere in private. (Nearby)
Brendan: Very nice May! You sure found a way to spit in my face!
May: I’m not dating Drew to piss you off. We’re not boyfriend and girlfriend anymore, so why should this bother you?
Brendan: Because I still have feelings for you May!
May: All you care about is yourself! It was like that when you were my boyfriend and that’s why we’re not together anymore. At least Drew cares about me!
Brendan: He’s probably just some player! (May groans) I already know that you begged your parents to let you out of the private school so you didn’t have to see me. Who would have thought that you would go for some pretty boy like him!
May: IT’S NOTHING LIKE THAT! You know nothing about my life. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a date! You know, it’s something that you never took me on! (Brendan grabs May’s hand)
Brendan: Please May! My life hasn’t been the same since you left.
May: Brendan! (She blushes) No, no, NO! Stay away from me! (She goes back to the table) I can’t believe him! (She sits down) Where’s Drew?
Tracey: He went into the bathroom.
Marisa: You really should explain things to Drew. I think he was a little hurt when he saw you over there with your ex.
May: What? You’ve been eavesdropping on me!
Marisa: With how loud you were talking I think all of Iraq heard you over the bombs.
Tracey: Think about it! Would you want to see any of Drew’s ex-girlfriends talking with him? Huh, I guess that’s how you felt when you saw me with Daisy.
Marisa: Oh thanks for bringing that name up before I eat!
Tracey: Sorry about that.
May: You’re right Tracey! (She gets up)
Marisa: (Sighs) Why can’t we just have a night where there are no drama moments?
May: I hope Drew understands.
Drew: Hope I understand what?
May: Oh Drew! Look, about Brendan! He is out of my life! He was a worthless boyfriend and… (Drew puts his hands on her shoulders)
Drew: It’s okay! (He walks off)
May: (Thinking) He’s in denial. (They sit back down)
Tracey: Is everything okay?
Drew: Everything is fine. (May sighs) Huh? (Soft violin music starts playing)
Tracey: What the…?
Marisa: Oh yeah, usually people slow dance to pass the time before their food comes.
Tracey: Hmm. (He stands up) Would you care to dance? (Marisa blushes)
Marisa: There you go again, making me blush. (She gets up)
May: They’ve only been together for one week, but you can tell that they really care about each other. (Drew sighs) Are you sure you’re feeling okay Drew?
Drew: Would you lay off?
May: Hey! Don’t cop an attitude with me! I just asked you a single question!
Drew: Yeah and it’s the same question and so I’ll give you the same answer. I’m fine!
May: There you go again with hiding things from me!
Drew: Don’t start with me about hiding things!
May: Yeah, my one boyfriend to your hundreds of girlfriends! (On the dance floor)
Marisa: Oh crap, they’re fighting! See, now that’s why I didn’t want to do the double date in the first place because sooner or later, something like this happens. (She walks off)
Tracey: (Sighs) So much for our slow dance. (Back at the table)
May: You are so…IMPOSSIBLE! (She gets up)
Drew: Damn it May! (Outside the restaurant)
May: I can’t believe that Drew sometimes! (A cigarette lights up) Huh, Brendan?
Brendan: I take it that you and green hair just had an argument.
May: Oh great, you smoke and you listen to other people’s conversations.
Brendan: Firstly, I’m 18 so I’m free to smoke all I want. And second, that wasn’t a conversation, it looked more like a fight.
May: It may have been a fight, but it doesn’t concern you.
Brendan: It does when it hurts you.
May: Like you give a rat’s ass!
Brendan: I care an awful lot. I know that we ended on bad terms May! Just tell me what I can do to make things right. (May sighs) I was just about to leave when you came outside. But now that you’re here, I want you to do something for me. I want you to look me dead in the eyes and tell me that you still don’t have feelings for me. (May scoffs) Trust me May! It’s the one way for me to know.
Narrator: May sighed and the two of them ended up staring at each other for what seemed like forever. Back inside, Drew was walking towards the door to see if May was alright. When Drew opened the door, he found May and Brendan kissing on the lips. Drew closed the door, sighed, and went back to the table.
Brendan: Well?
May: I’m sorry Brendan. That kiss may have brought back some memories, but that’s just it. What we had is in the past! I love Drew now.
Brendan: He must be one very lucky guy to have a girl like you. Well, I respect your decision.
May: Well, that’s the way it is.
Brendan: You know how people say that a paper cut is the worst kind of pain? Obviously the person who said that never had their heart broken. I’ll see you around May.
May: Right! Bye Brendan. (She goes back inside)
Marisa: There you are May. I was wondering where you went.
Tracey: Is everything okay?
May: Everything is fine and you can be sure of that. (Drew scoffs) Just what the hell is your problem?
Drew: Nothing! (The waiter comes with food)
Tracey: Well I’ve certainly worked up an appetite!
Marisa: Same here. Everything looks delicious!
May: Yay! Let’s eat! Yummy!
Marisa: Take it easy May, we could always order second helpings.
Drew: I bet May would love that, wouldn’t you?
May: Is that some sort of fat joke?
Drew: You know, for someone who likes to screw with people’s emotions, you sure are clueless!
May: Will you stop pussy-footing and tell me what the hell your problem is?
Drew: I SAW YOU KISSING BRENDAN!!! (All gasp)
May: You saw that? Drew, I don’t blame you for being mad at me. That was not my high point of the evening. But I think you should know that he was the one who kissed me.
Drew: Spare me the lies!
May: I’m telling you the truth!
Drew: Just keep telling yourself that! (May stands up) What now? Are you going to go follow him? (She picks up a glass of water and throws it in Drew’s face) What the hell? (She rushes to the bathroom) Can you believe this crap? That’s it! I’m leaving!
Marisa: Drew, before you storm off, I think you should hear May out. I just have this feeling that she’s telling the truth.
Drew: I’ll take your word on it! But if I can’t get through to her, it’s over! I’m done! (He walks away)
Tracey: You believe May is telling the truth?
Marisa: Indeed I do. I know that May has her priorities straight and would never do anything to try and upset Drew. On purpose anyways! Just the same way I would never want to upset you. I’m sorry this date is turning into a total disaster.
Tracey: No one could have predicted it.
Marisa: I did. I’m just surprised we didn’t get kicked out because of them!
Tracey: Eh, not that many people paying attention I suppose. (In the girl’s bathroom)
May: (Sobbing) Oh man, I really messed up! My first date ever and my stupid ex-boyfriend had to go and ruin it. And now Drew is probably going to break up with me over what happened. (Knock on the door)
Drew: May, are you in there?
May: GO AWAY!
Drew: Please May! I want to talk to you.
May: I have nothing to say to you!
Drew: Come on May! It’s important. (She comes out of the stall and opens the door)
May: Get in here!
Drew: But this is the girl’s room!
May: (Locks door) Now no one is going to come inside.
Drew: I wanted to hear your side of the story.
May: Like when I tried telling you at the table? You’ve got to do a lot better with opening up with me. (Drew sighs) Why don’t you just break up with me and get this pain over with?
Drew: I could do that! I could yell and scream and cuss like there’s no tomorrow. But I’m not going to.
May: Why not, Drew? If the shoes were on the other feet, I would break up with you in a heartbeat. But there’s something you’re not telling me. If there’s something you want to say then say it to me!
Drew: IT’S BECAUSE I’M IN LOVE WITH YOU!!!
May: What did you just say?
Drew: (Blushes) I didn’t say anything!
May: Yes you did! You said that you were in love with me!
Drew: It’s true. May, when I saw him kissing you, I felt my heart shattering into little pieces. (Tears up) I was afraid of losing you.
May: Drew, you’re crying! Please don’t cry! (She embraces him) I love you too Drew!
Drew: Oh May. (They kiss on the lips)
May: (Thinking) I guess it’s meant to be, me with Drew. I guess I was all wrong about him. I guess it just took him a while for him to open up. (Back at the table)
Marisa: I hope that they worked things out. I have to apologize for all of this once again.
Tracey: Don’t worry about it Marisa. It still beats the hell out of last weekend.
Marisa: Tracey. The other day in the hallway, you meant every word you said right?
Tracey: Of course. Why would you even ask?
Marisa: I don’t know. I guess it’s just the first time somebody actually said those things to me, that wasn’t followed up by my chest being groped by a pervert. (May and Drew walk back to the table) Oh, you guys are back!
May: Marisa, Tracey, let me be the first to apologize to you guys. I know I ruined your first date.
Drew: Me too you guys!
Marisa: I’ve seen more chaotic things in life. But as far as disasters go, this was a pretty interesting disaster. Now come on! Let’s get back to the food.
May: Yay! (Monday at lunch)
Ash: Hey you guys!
Misty: How was the double date?
Marisa: Don’t ask!
Tracey: It wasn’t all bad. The food was good, we got a chance to slow dance, and May and Drew made up with each other.
Misty: You guys got into another fight?
Ash: What was this about? Was Drew wearing too much makeup?
Drew: Shut up Ash! I only wear makeup if I’m going to be on stage.
May: My ex-boyfriend was at the same restaurant. The night was almost a complete loss until Drew told me he loved me.
Misty: How sweet!
Marisa: How was your date?
Ash: It was fun! We went to see the new Jim Carrey movie!
Misty: Well, we didn’t really pay attention to it.
Ash: And then we got something to eat afterwards!
Marisa: Jim Carrey? Oh, and he’s my favorite!
Tracey: Me too!
Marisa: Really? Oh…we are never going on a double date again!
Tracey: Truer words have never been spoken!
May: It could have been worse!
Drew: She’s right. You could have spent the whole night with Harley and Tucker.
Marisa: Okay, you’ve got me there.
