Narrator: Last season on 24…I mean Romance 102!
Rhonda: This is what happens when I stop watching local news.
Marisa: This is serious Rhonda, the police said this guy was a convicted felon who is on suicide watch. Who knows what he’s capable of! (At the carnival)
Ash: I don’t care. I have to do this.
Joel: He’s suicidal! Ketchum, you are to stay here. THAT IS AN ORDER!
Ash: I refuse. (Inside a room)
Reggie: You killed my brother and now it’s time to thank you for that. A life for a life…I see this as very fitting…Wouldn’t you agree?
Ash: Reggie, please don’t… (Reggie pulls the trigger and Ash falls to the ground)
Narrator: This just in…We’ve been cancelled! Ha, ha! Just kidding! And now for the rest of this story!
Marcus: Ambulance stretchers are coming through!
Tracey: What the…? (Misty gasps)
Misty: Oh no. Oh my God! (Runs towards the paramedics)
Marcus: MISTY!
Solana: Wait, you can’t go! (Back inside)
Paramedic: We’ve got a pulse! Get him on!
Misty: (Gasp) Ash…ASH! ASH!
Aria: Where’d she come from? (Grabs onto her)
Misty: Get off me! What happened to him? (Screaming) ASH! ASH!
Aria: He’s been shot! We’re doing all that we can! (Back at Marisa’s house)
Jack: There are no more reports coming in.
Rhonda: What’s going on? (Phone rings) Huh?
Marisa: Quit being so jumpy you guys. It’s just my phone. Huh? (She picks up) What’s going on Marcus?
Marcus: This is big news! Two people have been shot.
Marisa: Two shot?
Marcus: One of them is some crazy guy that the police have been searching for and the other one…I’m afraid it was Ash.
Marisa: (Gasp) What did you say? What is his condition? Just tell me that he’s okay Marcus.
Marcus: That’s all the information I can give you right now little buddy. I’ll call you back when I get updated again.
Marisa: I’m coming down!
Marcus: WHAT?! No, stay where you… (She hangs up)
Marisa: We’ve got to go! (Opens the door)
Jack: Don’t you want to change out of your pajamas?
Marisa: Oh damn, they’ll think I’m crazy and arrest me on the spot.
Rhonda: And how are we going to get down there? Jack’s car died. (Marisa growls) Unless you have a back-up plan, we’re stuck here. (Michelle walks inside)
Michelle: I’m home. Huh? What’s going on here?
Marisa: Mom, you have to take us to the University! (A little later in front of the school)
Delia: You have to tell me! Is my son going to live?
Joel: Ma’am, your son is in the care of the hospital. Now then, I have some unfinished business to attend to.
Cameron: Come on Ms. Ketchum. I’ll take you to the hospital. (A couple of blocks away)
Harley: I can’t believe this.
Brock: Sacrificing his life the way he did. (He starts to sob)
Harley: You don’t know that yet! They haven’t declared him dead! He’ll pull through!
Tracey: We’re going to go to the hospital. (A car pulls up and Marisa runs out)
Marcus: Little buddy? (Rhonda and Jack run out) Rhonda? Okay, this day gets weirder by the minute!
Marisa: Tell me he’s okay! Please tell me he’s okay!
Marcus: We don’t know yet. All we know is that he’s at the hospital in the Intensive Care Unit.
Rhonda: (Sighs) I feel so bad. If only I called the police last night, maybe this whole situation could have been avoided.
Tracey: What are you talking about Rhonda?
Jack: Well you see, Rhonda saw Reggie for a split second in the basement of the radio studio and didn’t report anything until just a few hours ago.
Rhonda: I’m sorry…I’m so sorry.
Marisa: Don’t be Rhonda. (All gasp) You did the right thing eventually and because of that you were able to prevent an even bigger incident.
Rhonda: Thank you.
Marcus: Wow, I’m stunned. Well Rhonda, I hope she wasn’t too much of a bother.
Rhonda: For once, she wasn’t.
Marisa: That’s because I was sick for most of the day.
Marcus: That’s another thing! You suffered from a powerful heatstroke yesterday at work. You should be in bed resting. Don't you have work first thing tomorrow morning?
Marisa: Are you my mother?
Brock: I suppose you know what’s happening.
Marisa: We’ve been following it all day long on the news. I just hope Ash is okay.
Tracey: Well, we are heading to the hospital.
Rhonda: All of you?
Marcus: Yeah. You see, we’re all friends. We all stick together. And if that means staying in a cramped waiting room for one of our friends, we are happy to do so.
Brock: If Ash dies tonight, he won’t be alone.
Rhonda: Hmm…You all are truly loyal. I gotta admire that. (Several hours later at the hospital)
Brock: (Sighs) It’s been hours since Ash went into surgery…I hope someone comes out soon to let us know about his condition.
Marisa: All the doctors are in the room with Ash and they’re the only ones who know what’s going on. Until someone comes out, I’m afraid we’re in the dark.
Marcus: Misty, are you feeling okay? (Silence) Um, Misty…
Marisa: Marcus, sit down. I wouldn’t try with Misty for a while now. Not until we know for sure that Ash is going to be okay. (Gags) Oh God! Marcus, get me a bucket.
Marcus: What? Oh crap! Here you go! (Marisa groaning)
Marisa: That’s okay. I was able to block it…Thank God! (Sighs)
Tracey: Oh Marisa…
Marcus: (Sighs) I know I’m supposed to feel fully worried about Ash, but now I’m extra worried about you, little buddy! (A doctor walks up)
Doctor: The good news is that he’s alive. (All sigh)
Misty: And…
Doctor: Well, he’s alive just barely. We were lucky that the bullet didn’t do much damage and we were able to remove it. It’s just that…He’s going to be in critical condition for now. If his condition changes and he seems to be making a full recovery, then there’s hope. For now, it’s a wait and see process. (He leaves)
Misty: Oh God! (Sobbing)
Delia: It’ll be okay Misty. There’s still hope…
Winona: If you’d like, I can cover you at work tomorrow. I’m sure Miss Abby will understand. (Misty sighs)
Marcus: We can stick around too if you’d like.
Misty: No, I think you all should go home and get some rest. I’ll stay here.
Brock: Are you sure Misty? (She nods)
Marisa: Okay. Just try to get some rest as well.
Winona: I’ll be by tomorrow to check on you. (They walk out of the room)
Marcus: Misty…He’ll be okay. I just have a feeling that he’ll make a full recovery. (Misty nods) Just keep your spirits up.
Misty: Thank you Marcus! (A little later at Misty’s apartment)
Lanette: He’s been shot? (Winona nods) Where’s Misty?
Winona: Back at the hospital.
Bebe: That’s so terrible! He’s such a nice boy and it would be just awful if he died. I can’t imagine how Misty must feel. (Winona tears up) What’s the matter Winona?
Lanette: I understand.
Bebe: Huh? Understand what?
Lanette: Winona’s been through a similar situation. I never told you about this story.
Winona: It all happened about five years ago. I was going out with my high school sweetheart, Wallace. We were a couple of weeks away from graduating when tragedy struck. Because of a jealous coward, Wallace was shot.
Bebe: Shot?
Lanette: It was a long story, so I’ll give you the short version. That jealous coward was actually aiming for Winona and Wallace stepped in front and took the bullet for Winona. (Bebe gasps)
Winona: I remember that horrible moment. When I was out in the waiting area…and the doctor came out to tell me that he had passed away. He had his whole life ahead of him and was cut down short because of…him.
Bebe: That’s so sad.
Lanette: But with tragedy, comes a little fortune. A few weeks later she found out that she would keep a little piece of Wallace with her always.
Bebe: (Gasp) Wallace Jr.?
Lanette: That’s right.
Winona: For Misty’s sake, I hope that she never goes through what I had to go through. Having to bury a boyfriend because of guns! I hate that! (The door opens)
Wallace: Mommy, why are you crying?
Winona: Oh honey, I’m sorry. Did I wake you up? Sorry. I’m just a little worried about something, that’s all.
Bebe: How about I tuck you into bed? (She and Wallace leave the room)
Lanette: I hope that Ash will be alright.
Winona: Well, Misty said she’ll keep me posted if anything happens tonight. (The next day at the hospital)
Brock: What’s the word?
Misty: He still hasn’t woken up yet. (Sniffles)
Brock: Oh dear.
Misty: The doctors believe that if he doesn’t wake up soon, he might never wake up again. (Tears up)
Brock: Oh Misty. (He hugs her) I hope he wakes up soon too. (In a house)
Young Ash: Daddy! Daddy! (Runs to a man)
Giovanni: That a boy Ash! That’s my boy!
Young Ash: I love you Daddy!
Giovanni: I love you too son.
Delia: Smile for the camera. (Ash looks out the window)
Ash: Huh?
Reggie: I’ll kill you, Ash Ketchum! (Pulls out a gun) You ruined my life! (Young Ash morphs into grown up Ash)
Ash: Reggie, please don't...
Reggie: DIE! (Bullet hits Ash and Ash wakes up)
Ash: (Groans) Oh man. Huh? (Looks around) Huh, Mom? No...wait...Misty? (Thinking) Misty’s been right by my bedside. It looks as though she was crying. (She opens her eyes)
Misty: Huh? (He strokes her hand) A-Ash? You’re alive!
Ash: (Weakly) Yeah, I’m here.
Misty: Ash… (Tears up) You’re awake? (Sobbing) Oh Ash, I was so worried about you. I was afraid…you were going to die.
Ash: How long were you here?
Misty: Two days ago. Ever since you were shot!
Ash: (Thinking) She stayed with me the whole time. Completely blowing off work just to be with me! I must have really worried her with my actions the other day. (A little later)
Delia: Please don’t strain yourself by talking too much!
Ash: Don’t worry…I think I’m feeling up to talking. Do you know where Misty went?
Delia: I think she's talking to one of the doctors. She shouldn’t be long.
Ash: Mom…I need to talk to you about something.
Delia: What happened?
Ash: It’s something that you should know. Involving me and Reggie…and Dad! (She gasps)
Delia: Gio…vanni?!
Ash: (Sighs) The guy who shot me. Reggie...Well, I found out that… (He tears up)
Delia: Ash?
Ash: Dad had a second family! (Delia gasps) He had one son, Reggie. Then you guys had me. And about four years later, he had another son…Paul.
Delia: This is all…so sudden. I have to sit down. (Falls into a chair) Wait a second…Paul?
Ash: But what I don’t understand is that why did he return to Paul and Reggie’s mother when I was four? And why did he keep this other family a secret from us?
Delia: Paul? (Gasp) He wasn’t the same boy who committed suicide four years ago was he?
Ash: Yeah…that was him. I was unaware at the time about Paul’s past back then. But when I confronted his brother, he told me everything. Dad picked us over them and for that…Reggie was never able to forgive. And who can honestly blame him! He was born before me. And yet Dad chose to stay with us.
Delia: When you were…Three or Four…Hmm…
Ash: Anything coming back to you?
Delia: I can’t really…remember. Your father was there and that’s all that I can…Wait a second! I remember something! We had a fight one night and he left. I believe you were about three years old. Well he came back two days later like nothing had happened. That could possibly be the time when Paul was conceived.
Ash: It’s a possibility. Paul never talked to me about it and killed himself before he could get the chance. Reggie is a different story. He was in prison around the same time that Paul committed suicide. When he got out, he set his course of revenge on me. I’m just pissed that Dad hid this from you and…
Delia: Your father loved you and he loved me. Maybe he thought there was no future staying with Paul and Reggie’s mother and that’s why he did what he did. I guess we’ll never know why he did it. Why he had a past with Paul and Reggie's mother. (Ash stares at the chair) Ash?
Ash: Huh? Oh…I was thinking of something else. Were you and Misty here the whole time?
Delia: Misty was here the longest. She wanted to make sure that the doctors were doing their job and taking good care of you.
Ash: (Thinking) Oh Misty. (Outside of the room)
Solana: So he’s conscious?
Misty: Yeah, but I don’t think it’s a good idea to have visitors just yet.
Solana: Understandable.
Lunick: All I know is that Joel wants some answers to what happened the other day and he’s breathing down everyone’s neck. We’re giving our sides of the story, but that man is like a fire-breathing dragon.
Solana: Well, just tell Ash that we dropped by to check on him.
Misty: Thanks you two. Good luck with Joel.
Lunick: Thanks, we’ll need it.
Misty: (Sighs) Time to inform everybody else. (Over the phone)
Brock: He’s awake! That’s great! I’ll be right there to see him!
Harley: Thank you Jesus, he’s okay!
Drew: He’s alright!
May: What a relief!
Tracey: This is great!
Marcus: He made it through? So whatever doesn’t kill him, will only make him stronger.
Marisa: He’s okay? Oh thank you for that news! I’ll be over later…
Boss: Get back to work Marisa! (Later that night at the hospital)
Ash: I’m sorry Misty.
Misty: What are you being sorry about? I have nothing against giving you a sponge bath and God knows you needed it. I think I got every inch of your body.
Ash: Sorry. It’s just that Mom left and…
Misty: I said it’s no problem. Besides, I asked the doctors if I could do something to help out and they said I can do this. Are you in a lot of pain?
Ash: Of course…just not so much now…that you’re here. (Misty blushes) Misty, I really appreciate everything that you’re doing. Taking care of me like this and being by my bedside!
Misty: Oh come on Ash! If this were any of my other friends, I would be there to help out in the same situation. And seeing that it’s you, I would definitely do it.
Ash: You mean more to me than anyone else…Misty, will you marry me? (She gasps)
Misty: Did you…just ask me to…?
Ash: Misty, will you marry me?
Misty: Is this a drug overdose?
Ash: Will you marry me?
Misty: Oh my God! You really are asking me!
Ash: Yes I am! Will…You…Marry…Me?
Misty: Ash…I… (Turns red) I…Can’t answer that right now! I have to go now! (She runs out of the room) Oh my God! He wants to marry me, already? This is happening too fast! (A little later at the apartments)
Lanette: He asked you to what?
Bebe: And you said what?
Lanette: And he asked you to what?
Misty: He asked me to marry him four times in one minute! I don’t know if he was serious or if it was just a side-effect of the drugs they have him on.
Winona: But what did you say?
Misty: I just said that I couldn’t answer that question yet and left the room as fast as I could.
Lanette: What are you going to say?
Misty: I seriously don’t know. Ash and I have been together for the last four years and love each other very much, but then there’s marriage…
Lanette: What are you talking about? Plenty of women your age would love to get a marriage proposal!
Winona: Just look at that friend of yours, May. She’s been married for two years and she’s only been going out with Drew for a short time. If their marriage is able to last this long, you can do this with Ash.
Misty: I don’t know.
Lanette: I can’t tell you how to run your life and neither can Winnie or Bebe. But just listen to this! If you all decide to get married, make sure you get REAL alcohol for the reception party.
Misty: Huh?
Bebe: Not this again!
Lanette: Yes, this again! When you took me to your sister’s wedding, I knew there’d be alcohol. That crap was just ginger ale and you know it!
Bebe: See what I have to put up with!
Winona: You don’t have to tell me!
Misty: (Thinking) Am I ready to get married? (The following day at the hospital)
Brock: I’m glad to see you’re awake. You had us all worried.
Ash: I know. I had to hear so much crying.
Brock: I bet. Your mother was devastated and same with Misty.
Ash: Actually, Marcus came by here crying.
Brock: You should thank your lucky stars that you’re okay. I can’t tell you how worried I was when they said that one died.
Ash: Died? (Gasps) Don’t tell me that…
Brock: Yeah. I talked to Spenser and he told me the guy in the building named Reggie committed suicide before all of the other cops discovered you.
Ash: So…Reggie’s dead? No…one told me that! (Tears up) Great, I lose another one.
Brock: Another what?
Ash: (Sighs) It’s a long story. The short part of it is…Do you remember Paul from back in high school?
Brock: Yeah, but what does he have to do…
Ash: Paul is Reggie’s younger brother…And they are…or were my half-brothers.
Brock: Whoa! That is freaky!
Ash: Reggie was ready to kill me and he almost did. He wanted to kill me because he says I was the reason behind Paul’s suicide. He also hated the fact that our father chose to stay with me and my mother.
Brock: I thought I’ve heard it all with you…But my God, I'm just at a loss of words! I can’t figure out why he wanted to kill so many people.
Ash: He snapped. People do a lot of crazy things when they snap.
Brock: I guess so. Are you gonna be alright? I mean after hearing about Reggie dying…
Ash: I’ll be fine. (Wipes away a tear) At least someone around here had the nerve to tell me that Reggie died. Thank you Brock.
Brock: By the way Ash, I didn’t see Misty around when I came. I would have thought she’d be here.
Ash: I thought so too, but I think I scared her off last night.
Brock: What’d you do? You didn’t throw up in front of her, did you? It should be okay if you’re in the hospital and you know the same thing happened to me and Suzy but…
Ash: No, I didn’t do that. It was something else.
Brock: What’d you do?
Ash: I asked her to marry me.
Brock: NO WAY! You proposed to her? What did she say?
Ash: She didn’t give me an answer…She just left.
Brock: You scared her!
Ash: Think she’ll come by tonight?
Brock: Don’t know. (Ash sighs) Hey but you’ve got to keep a positive outlook on this.
Ash: Brock…One of the thoughts that raced through my head when I was face to face with Reggie’s gun, was a scary thought of if were to die. And then, Misty came to my mind. What if I never saw her again? What if I died without her knowing that I love her? I love her Brock! It was because of this near-death experience that made me ask her that.
Brock: Understandable. It sounded like you sprung it on her so fast that she didn’t know what to say. (The next day at the hospital)
Joel: Thanks for the report Ash. This’ll be very useful to us.
Cameron: How are you feeling?
Ash: I’m a little sore, but feeling a little bit better. The doctors are surprised I’ve been making a speedy recovery.
Cameron: Glad to hear it little man.
Joel: Well, we can’t wait for you to return. Until then, just get some rest. (Ash sighs)
Cameron: Well, we’ll leave you alone. I know you want your rest. We passed around this card at work and everybody was happy to sign it. Hope this lifts up your spirit.
Ash: It does. Thanks. Tell everyone that I’ll be fine and I’ll be back soon.
Joel: See you later. (They leave)
Ash: I wonder where she could be. I haven’t seen her in two days. (Back at Misty’s apartment)
Winona: Wallace, you better be in that bathtub when I come in there! (Phone rings) Hello. Ash, what a surprise! No, she’s not here. Misty left for work at 8 this morning so she should be back soon. Besides, you shouldn’t be worried. She’s been seeing you everyday since the incident.
Ash: No she hasn’t. I didn’t see her at all yesterday.
Winona: She didn’t come yesterday? She was gone for most of the day yesterday so I would have figured that she’d go and see you.
Ash: Well, could you just tell her…that I love her.
Winona: I’ll give her that message. Thanks for calling Ash. (She hangs up) Oh man, she’s avoiding him…so that she can avoid the big question. (Later that night at the hospital)
Ash: (Sighs) Where are you Misty? (The door opens) Huh?
Delia: Hi honey! I just talked with your doctor and he said that the hospital is going to let you go home tomorrow morning.
Ash: That’s great. Hey, what are you doing?
Delia: I’m just packing up your things. I don’t want you to strain yourself.
Ash: I’ll be fine Mom. Say Mom, I took a nap earlier today and I was wondering if anyone came by to see me or if anyone tried to call me.
Delia: No. No one came by and as far as I know, nobody tried calling here. Is there something the matter?
Ash: Oh, it’s nothing important. (Thinking) Maybe she’s home now. (Back at Misty’s apartment)
Misty: What a day!
Winona: I was wondering when you were going to come home.
Misty: Oh, I had a busy day. I had to go to work and then I had to visit Ash in the hospital.
Winona: Sure you did. You’re lying! I talked to Ash earlier and he said that you have not been in the hospital since that day he proposed to you. I know you’re scared, but you can’t keep avoiding him.
Misty: I just need some time to think about this.
Winona: I’m going to need the keys to your car. I don't want you fleeing the state again. (She gives her the keys) And all of your running shoes!
Misty: Oh come on!
Winona: Now! (Misty goes into her room)
Misty: What’s wrong with me? (Flops down on the bed) The boy I’ve loved for the last 7 years proposes to me and I can’t even give him an answer nor have the courage to talk to him. (Sobbing) Why can’t I just say yes? Do I fear commitment? I don’t know what to do anymore. (The door opens) Huh?
Winona: Misty…I know it’s a tough decision for you. I’m not going to sit up here and yell at you to go and call Ash. I’m just going to tell you to think about the question. Take all of the time you need. If you’re not ready to get married, you can tell Ash. He’s not going to scold you for saying no.
Misty: (Sniffles) Thanks Winona. I only wish it were that simple with my brain. (The next morning)
Winona: Misty. (Knocks on door) Misty, I made some breakfast. (Opens the door) Come on! You can’t work on an empty stomach. Huh? She’s gone! There’s a note.
Winona,
I’ve made up my mind and I’m going to see Ash and tell him my answer. Hopefully, he’ll respect my decision. See you later.
-Misty
Narrator: At least she didn’t run off to California again. (Back at the hospital)
Marisa: What do you mean he’s not here?
Nurse: He just checked out this morning. The doctors told him he was free to go.
Marisa: Great! My one day off to check to make sure he’s okay and he’s gone! Ain’t that a bitch!
Tracey: We can always see him at his house!
Marisa: He probably thinks that I don’t care about him. (Tracey sighs) Everybody else got to see him, but not me. Because I go to work before visiting hours and I get off when visiting hours are over. Well that just flat sucks!
Tracey: Don’t worry about it! I told everyone that you’ve been working your butt off and that you would make the time to check on Ash. They all understand!
Marisa: Oh, you’re so good to me. You know, not that many men would go out on the limb and lie straight to my face. (Tracey groans)
Misty: What are you guys doing here?
Marisa: Hi Misty!
Tracey: We were going to check on Ash, but it turns out he went back home.
Misty: Crap! I hitchhiked all the way over here, wearing nothing but these damn sandals for nothing! I’m going to kill Winona for taking my sneakers and my car keys!
Tracey: Hey relax Misty! I can always give you a ride over to his house.
Marisa: Yeah, we were heading there anyways.
Tracey: It’s better than walking all the way over there.
Misty: (Sighs) Okay. I’ll take you up on the offer. (A little later in front of Ash’s house)
Marisa: Aren’t you coming inside?
Misty: I’ll be there in a little bit. I have some business to take care of before coming inside.
Marisa: Okay. (She knocks on the door and Misty hides)
Delia: Hi you guys! Thanks for coming by. Ash, you’ve got some visitors.
Ash: Huh? Oh hey Marisa, hey Tracey!
Marisa: Oh Ash, I’m sorry I wasn’t able to visit you in the hospital. I hope you don’t hate me for that.
Ash: Why would I hate you? Marcus and Tracey told me that you were working every day since the incident. (Marisa sighs) But then again, Marcus told me you could have been hiding out for a couple of days since you hate hospitals and being around sick people.
Marisa: I hate Marcus! Sorry about that Ash! Work has just been unbearable!
Ash: Understandable. (He sighs)
Tracey: Are you okay?
Ash: Oh…yeah. I was just thinking about something.
Marisa: Hey if we caught you at a bad time, we can always leave and give you your space.
Delia: You’ll have to forgive Ash.
Ash: Sorry you guys. I really appreciate you two visiting me like this. (Knock on the door)
Delia: I’ll get it. (Opens the door) Misty!
Ash: Misty?
Misty: May I see Ash?
Delia: Come on in.
Ash: Hi Misty.
Misty: Hello Ash.
Marisa: Oh, I can see you two want to be alone! We’ll just get out of your way. (They walk into the kitchen)
Tracey: Do you have any idea what they need to be alone about?
Marisa: Not a clue. (Grabs a glass cup) But I know it’s something big. I could sense it the way that Misty and Ash looked at each other.
Tracey: Come on! You don’t want to eavesdrop on their conversation, do you?
Marisa: Did you forget who you’re talking to? (Back in the living room)
Misty: How have you been?
Ash: A little sore, but I’ll survive. Misty…I know I must have freaked you out with me asking you that question.
Misty: A little.
Ash: I think I should tell you this. During that stand-off with Reggie, the thought of not being with you raced through my head. That near-death experience got me thinking of the future…our future. I was afraid I wasn’t going to see you again. That’s basically why I let it out. But, for the last few days…I began to realize that the big reason why I asked you was because that I love you. (Misty tears up and embraces him)
Misty: Oh Ash…I love you! I love you! I was so scared when you proposed to me!
Ash: I know you were.
Misty: But…I want to marry you. (Ash gasps) I want to be your wife.
Ash: You do?
Misty: Yes! I do! I will. I’ll marry you! (Back in the kitchen)
Delia: Well, what’d you hear?
Marisa: Ash and Misty are…engaged.
Tracey: Really? That’s great! (Delia faints)
Marisa: Oh my God!
Tracey: I didn’t think she’d take the news this hard! (Back in the living room)
Misty: My God! We have so much to plan! Who’s going to be your best man? Who’s going to be my maid of honor? When are we going to do it? Where are we going to hold it? Who are we going to invite?
Ash: Relax! We can take all the time we need to prepare. (Back in the kitchen)
Marisa: I think she’s coming around!
Tracey: Are you alright?
Delia: I could have sworn I heard that Ash was going to marry Misty. (Ash and Misty walk in the kitchen) Huh?
Ash: Hi guys! Mom, what are you doing on the floor?
Marisa: Um, she saw a rat! Now, what’s going on?
Misty: Do you want to tell them?
Ash: Okay. We’re engaged! (Delia faints) MOM!
Marisa: As you can see your mother is very happy for you guys!
