~New Character Introduced~
Janet
Original Date of Post: 07/26/2009
Narrator: And now, it’s time for something you wouldn’t normally see unless you were watching Jerry Springer or some other trashy show like that…Nah, just kidding! Although we have some love triangles…good ones too!
Caroline: Graduating third in your class?
Max: Yup. Impressive, huh?
Caroline: Oh Max, I am so happy. (Sighs) I can’t believe you are graduating three years early. I didn’t think it would work and I never thought it would be possible, but you’ve proved me wrong. May, how about a little congratulations for your brother!
Max: That’s right. I’m graduating high school with my virginity in tact.
May: Do you want to live to see your own graduation? (Raises her fist)
Max: You know I was just kidding! (Phone ringing)
May: I’ll get that. (Picks up) Hello.
Girl: Um…Hi…Is a Drew Rose here?
May: No he’s out. Can I take a message? (Dial tone) Huh? That was weird.
Caroline: What’s wrong?
May: A girl was on the phone asking for Drew and then she just hung up. I wonder what that could be about.
Caroline: Perhaps a bill collector.
Max: Or maybe a secret lover!
May: (Gasp) You don’t think Drew is cheating, do you?
Max: I wouldn’t be surprised.
Caroline: Max, I’ve told you repeatedly to not scare your sister like that. Honey, I wouldn’t worry about it. I’m sure it’s just a misunderstanding. Now then Max, did you borrow a tie from one of your friends for the ceremony?
Max: I sure did. Here it is!
May: Wow, that’s so…tacky! But then again, you’ve always had an eye for such things.
Caroline: Max, I told you! No novelty ties!
Max: It’s not a novelty!
Caroline: Fine then, no Dilbert ties! May, go see what Drew has in his drawer. (A little later near Conway’s house)
Max: Oh man and I really loved that tie. Oh well. (Knocks on the door) Hello! Conway! I’m here to return your tie. (He opens the door) Conway! (Walks through the hallway) I wonder where he is. (Panting sounds) Huh? Sounds like somebody’s in here. (Opens the door) Ah!
Conway: Max?
Max: Ah! I didn’t see anything! (Runs out of the room) Oh man! Oh man! That was just sick and nasty!
Conway: Max, get back here!
Max: Look Conway, what you do with your sex life is your own business. Don’t try to rope me into this mess. I can’t even believe you and Dawn are sexually active.
Conway: Huh? Look Max, we just want you to keep this on the down-low. So if you wouldn't mind, please don't tell anybody about this.
Max: That’s no problem. I can understand that you don’t want people to know that you and Dawn are already having sex. If word got around, who knows what kind of chaos it might cause. (Conway goes back into his room)
Conway: He’s gone.
Roxanne: Good. The last thing I need is that little pipsqueak blowing everything.
Conway: Right. I guess it’s a good thing that he thinks you’re Dawn.
Roxanne: Naïve little twerp! (Back outside)
Max: (Vomits) Oh my God! I don’t ever want to see Conway’s bony ass again for as long as I live. (Gags) Hey wait…Black hair! Did I see it right? (The next morning at the high school)
Zoey: Hmm… (Puts down the piece of paper)
Dawn: Well what do you think of the speech?
Zoey: It’s good. Very good! I especially love the poem you’re going to read at the very end of your speech.
Dawn: You really think so?
Zoey: Honest feedback. I don’t abuse it.
Dawn: Thanks Zoey. I needed this so bad. I mean, it’s just an honor that Principal Oak allowed me to speak at the graduation ceremony, despite me not graduating with any special kind of honor.
Zoey: Hey, he allows average Joe’s like you and I to speak at graduation. I’m actually surprised you asked me for some feedback. I would have thought Conway would have jumped at the idea.
Dawn: Yeah and he was the first person I asked. But he’s been busy 24/7 with that tutoring job of his.
Zoey: Well you know how busy he can get. It is finals time and a lot of people need all the help they can get.
Dawn: Very true. I can’t wait until college. I’ve got my acceptance to Pallet University.
Zoey: That’s great to hear Dawn.
Dawn: What about you?
Zoey: Well actually, I got accepted to Snowpoint and I’m wondering if I should go or not.
Dawn: That far?
Zoey: Well when it comes time for me to visit again, I can always take this bullet train they just built to come visit you all. (Brianna and Wally walk up)
Brianna: Dawn, I heard through the grapevine that a certain someone got an acceptance letter from Pallet! You know what that means!
Dawn: We’ll be together throughout college! (They squeal)
Brianna: Ooh, this is so exciting! Wally darling, you never told me where you’re…
Wally: I’m going to Montana!
All: Huh?
Wally: Um…yes. Going back to family! You know how important family is to me! And I am going back right after graduation.
Brianna: Oh honey, you don’t have to worry. I’ve read several books about long-distance relationships and I just want to let you know that I’ll always be there for you and I will always love you. Maybe I can visit you during my long breaks!
Wally: (Thinking) Just keep saying that to yourself! (Principal Oak walks up)
Oak: Good afternoon students. Dawn, I need to speak to you right now.
Dawn: Okay. I’ll see you guys later. (In the principal’s office)
Oak: Take a seat Dawn.
Dawn: So what’s this all about Principal Oak? Do you guys need my speech already or do you need to talk to me about the schedule?
Miss Agatha: You’re not going to speak Dawn.
Dawn: Huh? I thought you said I could speak at Graduation. Why can’t I?
Oak: We recently discovered something. Take a look at these two test sheets.
Dawn: What’s this got to do with me?
Oak: One of these tests is yours and the other one belongs to Roxanne. Now we…
Dawn: You’re automatically taking Roxanne's side?!
Miss Agatha: We did talk to her and she said that she didn’t cheat on the English test.
Oak: And why would she have any reason to lie to us?
Dawn: Because she’s manipulative! You have to believe me, I didn’t cheat.
Oak: Well until we receive information claiming your innocence, we will drop the charges. But if not, you won’t be able to graduate with your class.
Dawn: But that’s not fair! Just because our answers look the same doesn’t mean that it was cheating.
Miss Agatha: It’s a spitting image Dawn. And for your information, you already have a history with cheating back in your junior year. We let you off quite generously that time, but this time it’s a different story. You know our policy with cheating, young lady. (She walks out of the principal’s office)
Brianna: Hey Dawn…Hey, what’s the matter? (She tears up) What happened?
Dawn: I’m not going to graduate.
Brianna: Huh? If you can’t graduate, then you can’t go to college. And if you can’t go to college, we won’t be together! What the hell happened?
Dawn: It’s because my last English test…My test and Roxanne’s test were exactly the same.
Brianna: You cheated off of her?
Dawn: I DIDN’T CHEAT! Why does everybody take her side?
Brianna: Let’s get one thing straight here. I will NEVER take Roxanne’s side. Never!
Dawn: How can I prove my innocence? How can I show the administration that I didn’t cheat on my English test?
Brianna: There’s the little skank right now. Do you want me to hold her by the hair until she fesses up?
Dawn: Let’s try talking to her first.
Brianna: Yo Roxanne!
Roxanne: Yes. What do you two want?
Brianna: ADMIT IT! You copied off of Dawn’s test in English class. You were too busy with some guy to even study and you found yourself in a predicament when you didn’t know any of the answers to the questions. But Dawn sits right next to you and you thought you can copy a few answers from her. But soon enough you were hooked and decided to copy the whole sheet! I bet you were thinking that all the teachers will take your side. Everybody loves Miss Goodie-Two-Shoes Roxanne!
Roxanne: What’s your point?
Dawn: Did you copy off my English test?
Roxanne: No, I did not. (She walks away)
Brianna: That bitch is lying through all of her teeth! No need to worry Dawn. We’ll get a confession out of her and then you’ll be able to speak at Graduation. (Back at May’s apartment)
Sara: Mommy!
May: Okay, okay. Here you go! (Phone rings) Hello? Oh, hi Mom. Mom, you know I can’t have anyone stay here. Look, it’s a dinky apartment for sure, but you don’t have to call it that. I guess that would be okay. (Doorbell rings) Crap! Mom, I’ll call you back. There’s somebody at the door. (Hangs up) Yes?
Janet: Um…hi.
May: Can I help you?
Janet: I was wondering if you could tell me if a Drew Rose lives here.
May: Yes he does. He’s my husband.
Janet: You mean he’s married? (Thinking) Crap! What do I do now? What do I do now?
May: Excuse me. You sound very familiar. Did you call the house the other day and hang up?
Janet: Could you…Could you just… (Blushes)
May: Could I just what?
Janet: Tell him that Janet just stopped by. I have to go now. (She runs away)
May: Well that was weird. Who could she really be? (Later at the school)
Zoey: Okay, count me in. I’ll do anything I can to help Dawn clear her name!
Brianna: Great. Now, we know that the two girls sit next to each other in English.
Zoey: Did you talk to Miss Prima?
Brianna: I should, shouldn’t I? Boy, am I glad that you're here! (In the classroom)
Miss Prima: I didn’t see either one of them looking off each others papers. But even with my word alone, it’s still not enough evidence to clear anyone’s innocence. The tests are just too identical.
Brianna: So does that mean Dawn cheated?
Miss Prima: I truly don’t believe Dawn cheated. I do have this suspicion about Roxanne though. You see, Roxanne’s grades have been slipping lately.
Both: Huh?
Miss Prima: Within the last month, her grade in this class have been slipping. She claims that she’s been going to tutoring sessions with another peer, but I have my doubts about that.
Brianna: Then why did you take her side when talking to Principal Oak?
Miss Prima: I did no such thing. I told Principal Oak the situation. It's just that he and the rest of the administration went on assumption. Because Roxanne has the rest of the faculty wrapped around her finger, she thinks she can have the rules bent to her liking. Rich snobs like her make me sick to my very core.
Brianna: Have I told you that you’re my favorite teacher?
Zoey: Thank you Miss Prima. (Later at May’s apartment)
Drew: I’m home.
May: Drew…I met someone very interesting today. Do you know a girl by the name of Janet?
Drew: Janet Jackson?
May: No!
Drew: Worth a try! Hmm…Janet, Janet…No…nothing is coming up.
May: Are you sure?
Drew: Yeah. Nothing is really coming up. I don’t think I’ve ever met someone with that name before.
May: Well this girl seemed like she knew you. She came a couple of hours ago asking for you and seemed really shocked when I told her that I am your wife.
Drew: Janet? Janet! Sorry May, no clue.
May: If I find out you’re lying to me. (Grabs a knife)
Drew: WHOA! DON’T DO ANYTHING CRAZY! I won’t risk it. I want to live.
May: …Hmm…Okay Drew, I’ll believe you… (Chops a carrot) For now. (That night at Brianna’s house)
Brianna: Well one good thing is that you have Miss Prima on your side.
Dawn: Little good that did. Principal Oak seems to believe that I’m guilty as charged.
Brianna: So does your mother know?
Dawn: I’m afraid so. I’ve never seen her so disappointed.
Brianna: We’ll prove your innocence… (Beep) Oh, that’s call waiting. I’ll be right back. Hello?
Zoey: Brianna, I just remembered something. Conway has been tutoring Roxanne for the last month.
Brianna: So she’s a dumb bitch!
Zoey: Well here’s where it gets really interesting. I talked to Max a little earlier and he told me that he walked in on Conway and Dawn having sex.
Brianna: No freakin’ way! Dawn couldn’t have had sex. She would have told me!
Zoey: Yes, but Max saw this just yesterday and said that Dawn looked different even in a flash.
Brianna: Different?
Zoey: He said something about black hair. Brianna, I now have a strong feeling that Conway is cheating on Dawn with Roxanne.
Brianna: You really think that?
Zoey: It’s just a hunch and I wouldn’t act on it…But for now it’s something to keep in mind. (The next morning in front of Drew’s apartment)
Drew: Great…another day, another headache.
Janet: Drew Rose? (Drew turns around and gasps) I suppose you don’t remember me.
Drew: Wow, it certainly has been a while. (Thinking) Janet!
Janet: It’s been about five years or so.
Drew: Why are you here?
Janet: Don’t you remember Drew? On my return to the states, we would pick up where we left off.
Drew: Oh boy…I said that, didn’t I?
Janet: However…your wife…she seems very nice.
Drew: Oh yes. May is indeed one of a kind. (Thinking) And she’ll murder me if she is seeing any of this. God, I hope she’s not looking out the window.
Janet: Here you go. (Hands him a piece of paper) This is the address to my new apartment. Stop by so we can catch up.
Drew: Sure…I’ll do that. (She hugs him) Okay… (Nervously) Nice meeting you again and I will see you later. (She drives away) Okay…Next part is to see if May saw any of this. (He walks back inside and into the room) Huh? Thank God, she’s asleep. (A little later at the high school)
Zoey: So this girl…she had black hair?
Max: Yeah. From an angle it did look like Dawn, but keep in mind that it was just a quick second that I saw it.
Zoey: Thanks for the info Max. (He walks away)
Brianna: What do you think?
Zoey: I don’t want to think that it’s true about Conway…but it’s starting to scare me. (Marley walks up)
Marley: Hello Zoey.
Zoey: Oh, hi Marley.
Marley: What’s wrong?
Zoey: I’m having a little predicament with Dawn. I mean, this is whole situation between her and Roxanne is just nuts!
Marley: (Growls) So this is about Dawn again?
Zoey: Huh?
Marley: If you ask me, she doesn’t need anymore help. You’ve been spending too much time with her. Let her figure out her own problems and let you live your own life. (She walks away)
Brianna: What the hell was that about?
Zoey: I don’t know. (She runs after her) What the hell is your problem?
Marley: You heard me. I think you’re spending too much time with Dawn.
Zoey: That’s because she’s my friend.
Marley: Do you still love her?
Zoey: Excuse me?
Marley: I asked you a question and I expect an answer. I know you two were a couple before I came along and the fact that you’re still friends with your ex-girlfriend makes me sick. Do you still love her?
Zoey: It’s not like that. We have an understanding that we’re just friends and that’s not going to change. And you should know that by now Marley!
Marley: (Silently) I hope she gets expelled. (Zoey gasps and Marley walks away)
Brianna: Zoey, are you okay?
Zoey: I don’t know what’s going on with her! (Growls) Never mind, Marley will have to wait. (A little later at Kinko’s)
Drew: (Sighs) I am so screwed!
Boss: Drew! Quit your daydreaming! Copier Six has a paper jam and Printers Two and Three are all out of ink!
Drew: I’m on it! Why does it feel like I’m the only one who does any work around here? (Sighs) Okay, let’s see what we’ve got! (Opens it up)
Marcus: Oh look, someone’s fixing it!
Drew: Huh? Marcus, Tracey, what are you two doing?
Tracey: Well we were making a few copies. I promised Marcus I would help him advertise Mama Mia by posting these all over. I didn’t know you were working here.
Drew: Yeah, well this job pays a little more than the last one. Plus, the cafeteria hasn’t really been the same since James left.
Marcus: Do you ever hear from him?
Drew: Last I heard he’s living in Utah with Kate! Luckily Jessie hasn’t caught on to his exact location. But I check the obituaries online everyday just in case.
Marcus: Always a good thing.
Drew: Oh hey Tracey, when you get a minute…I need to speak to you. I’m going on my break in five minutes. After I finish refilling the ink trays, meet me outside. (Several minutes later)
Tracey: So what’s on your mind?
Drew: (Sighs) I guess it’s a good thing that you came into the store because I need someone who has experience with this problem I’ve got going on!
Tracey: Mind running that by me?
Drew: You’ve had practice with juggling women!
Tracey: (Groans) Let it go already! I screwed up! I admit it! Marisa was able to forgive me and the rest of you should do the same!
Drew: No, no, no! I didn’t mean it like that! It’s just that…I have this girl after me.
Tracey: Wait, why are you even asking for advice? You have mad experience turning down girls.
Drew: Younger days keep in mind! I’ve matured in married life! You see one of my ex-girls came back to town recently. And we kind of made a…pact!
Tracey: Please tell me it's not a suicide pact!
Drew: No! The other kind of pact! It was months before I met May. You see it was that summer before our junior year and that’s when I met her. We were in this summer program for theatre students. There were several gifted performing art students attending this program and even some from different countries.
Tracey: I’m following you so far.
Drew: When I met Janet, I could have sworn she was my one and only.
Tracey: An honest mistake. I made the same mistake with Daisy.
Drew: Yeah but Daisy was just lust, not love. Apparently Janet was the same way now that I think about it. But man, back then she was like a goddess. I even ended up losing my virginity to her.
Tracey: But you told May that it was your first time with her.
Drew: Yeah and I want her to go to the grave thinking that!
Tracey: So how did this one end?
Drew: Well…After the program ended, she had to go back home. Of course at that time, she was living in Canada. But she told me… (Flashback to five years ago)
Janet: If I return to the states, I’ll drop you a line. And we can pick up right where we left off.
Drew: I’ll wait for you. (End of flashback)
Tracey: Why doesn’t this surprise me? Drew, you need to tell this Janet girl the truth. That you love your wife and that there is no one in this world better than her. Besides, it was just a fling that lasted for a couple of weeks. Not only that but it was five years ago! That couldn’t have made a lasting impression!
Drew: I don’t know. I do have that effect on girls. Once they’ve had a taste, they want the whole bottle.
Tracey: Do not cave in! Under no circumstances do you stray away from your original plan. (That night in front of Roxanne’s house)
Brianna: Okay, the whore has just entered the saloon!
Zoey: Do we have to speak in code? This is so stupid.
Brianna: Zoey, how good are you at climbing trees?
Zoey: Well I’m… (Brianna grabs her legs) Let me go! Let me go!
Brianna: I’ll lift you up and you grab onto that branch!
Zoey: If you do not let me go, I swear to God I will kill you!
Brianna: And up we go! (Zoey screams) Shut up or Roxanne will hear you!
Zoey: Get me down! Get me down!
Brianna: It’s just like the uneven bars in gym. Just do a pull-up! (She gets on the branch and Brianna climbs up)
Zoey: Were you a squirrel in your former life?
Brianna: Probably. (A door opens) Ssh!
Roxanne: Is anybody out there? (Silence) Hmm…Must have been the neighbor’s cat again. (The door closes)
Zoey: (Sighs) Why are we up here?
Brianna: We’re going to spy. (Opens her backpack)
Zoey: What’s this equipment?
Brianna: My dad works for the government and this is the kind of equipment he uses on the job.
Zoey: I should have known he taps people’s phones.
Brianna: You can’t prove anything! (Two hours later)
Zoey: We’ve been up here for over two hours now and we’ve heard nothing. Plus, my butt is becoming numb! I would like to go home and study for my finals.
Brianna: Wait.
Zoey: Yeah what?
Brianna: Her father just pulled out of the driveway and left.
Zoey: Ugh! Well that’s just great! Well if you don’t mind, I’d like to go home and… (Phone ringing inside) Huh?
Roxanne: Hello? Oh hello Marley.
Zoey: Marley?
Brianna: What’s old Goth Moth calling Miss Priss for?
Zoey: Ssh! What the hell is she doing calling her?
Brianna: Hello! I just said that!
Roxanne: I’ll get you your money tomorrow. That was some fine work you did with those test answers. (Zoey gasps) If Dawn must fall in the mud so I can pass, then so be it. I must say you’re a really cruel chick to want to do this to Dawn.
Zoey: Marley…
Brianna: Huh? What about Marley?
Zoey: I think we just cleared Dawn’s name.
Brianna: Hey, there’s a car pulling up! (The car stops and Conway comes out) It’s Conway! That sneaky rat!
Zoey: Hmm… (He knocks on the door)
Roxanne: Oh, that must be Conway! I’ll give you the money tomorrow. Goodbye. (She opens the door)
Zoey: I can’t believe Marley would do such a thing. (She climbs down the tree)
Brianna: Zoey! Hmm… (Puts on the headphones) I wonder what they could be talking about. (Grunting sounds) Ugh! That’s sick! This whole situation gets creepier by the minute. (Later in front of May’s apartment)
Drew: (Sighs) Finally good to be home. (Opens the door) Huh? Oh hi May! (She throws a duffle bag at his head) What the…May?
May: Get out!
Drew: But…
May: GET OUT!
Drew: But May…
May: I don’t want to hear it! I knew you were up to no good. You have been seeing a little slut named Janet. I know because she slipped a note underneath our door telling you to meet her in her apartment
Drew: May, you don’t understand…
May: I understand perfectly. Because I caught her earlier and she told me everything. She told me how you “gave” yourself to her.
Drew: Even though it happened in the past, you’re still kicking me out?
May: I just need to be alone Drew. (Starts tearing up) Just get out Drew! GET OUT! (The next morning at the high school)
Zoey: We need to talk now Marley!
Marley: What’s this all about, doll?
Zoey: Stop playing all coy with me. I know what you did and I for one am disgusted. What the hell did Dawn ever do to you? Why did you find it so necessary to set Dawn up to fail and so that Roxanne could get away.
Marley: Simple. I don’t like Dawn. I never liked her. I told her back in Europe to stay the hell away from you. But she didn’t listen to my warning.
Zoey: And why would she? Dawn is my best friend and that’s all. You should know that by now.
Marley: You’re a liar.
Zoey: Marley, because of your stupid jealousy an innocent girl might not get her high school diploma. There’s something called Karma! What goes around comes around!
Marley: So what? I helped Roxanne out. She offered me a large sum to sneak into Miss Prima’s class and copy down Dawn’s test answers onto Roxanne's sheet. We both knew that Dawn was most likely to be pinned for this crime. It’s on her record from two years ago. So Roxanne would be in the clear. She’s already got the administration on her side. So what’s the harm?
Zoey: You’re so sick and wrong. You make me want to vomit!
Marley: Oh and I suppose you’re going to leave me for her!
Zoey: I’m not going back to Dawn. We’re friends. But I can tell you for damn sure that we’re through.
Marley: Hmph. (Slaps Zoey in the face) The nerve. (She walks away)
Zoey: Hmph…You just dug your own grave Marley. (Pull out a tape recorder and presses stop) Time for Principal Oak to hear this! (In the principal’s office)
Brianna: So you see by this diagram that Roxanne paid Marley to swap all of Dawn’s answers onto her test. Once that was done, it would be a matter of time before someone was caught with the crime of cheating.
Miss Agatha: Well Miss Brianna, thank you for that…little presentation, but I’m afraid we need more proof than these crude drawings.
Miss Prima: Proof? What more proof could you possibly need? (The door opens)
Zoey: It’s all true Principal Oak. (All gasp) I just confronted Marley on what she did. (Puts the tape recorder on the desk) Listen to it. I got her confession on tape. Roxanne didn’t know any of the answers. Roxanne bribed Marley to sneak into Miss Prima’s classroom to copy Dawn’s answers on Roxanne’s sheet. Roxanne knew that you would take her side because of what Dawn did years ago.
Oak: Well if that’s the case then extreme measures will have to be taken.
Brianna: Will Dawn get to graduate?
Oak: Of course. (Brianna and Zoey high five)
Miss Agatha: I wish I can say the same for Roxanne. And as for Marley, we’ll have to suspend her for the remainder of the school year.
Zoey: So be it. (A little later at Kinko’s)
Drew: There we go, all fixed up. (Tap on shoulder) Huh? (Gasp)
Janet: I need to speak to you. (A few minutes later outside)
Drew: What are you doing here?
Janet: Drew…I’m sorry I caused so much trouble between you and your wife.
Drew: You heard?
Janet: No, I could tell by the tone of her voice when I told her everything yesterday.
Drew: What did you tell her?
Janet: About our relationship, how I was your first, and how you declared your love to me. And of course, the promise we made to each other.
Drew: Oh…you remember that…
Janet: Drew…Let me speak. Upon my return to the states, my intentions were on seeing you and continuing where we left off. But after I learned about the life you have, I had a change of heart. I mean you have a wonderful wife and a beautiful daughter. I don’t want to ruin a good thing. I don’t want to be known as a home-wrecker.
Drew: Did you tell May that?
Janet: No. I didn’t have this change of heart until after my chat with May. Drew, I wish you the best of luck.
Drew: Thank you Janet.
Janet: May must be a lucky girl, to have a sweet husband like you. Treat her well. (Later at Dawn’s house)
Dawn: So my name is cleared?
Brianna: Yup. You get to speak at Graduation. And more importantly, you get to graduate!
Dawn: How did it happen?
Brianna: Oh…
Zoey: It’s okay Brianna. If you don’t mind, I’d like to speak to Dawn alone.
Brianna: I understand. (She leaves the room)
Dawn: What happened? (Zoey sighs and sits down) Zoey?
Zoey: It was because of Marley. She set you up. On the day of the test, Roxanne didn’t know any of the answers and was sure to fail. But after class, Marley snuck in the classroom and grabbed your test and her test and started copying your answers to Roxanne’s test. They both knew that you already had one incident with cheating and it would make you an easy target.
Dawn: Wow. I don’t understand it. Why would Roxanne cheat? Her grades are usually above average. Plus she’s been getting tutoring from Conway.
Zoey: And this next part is even harder for me to tell you. Upon discovery, we found out that the reason Roxanne has been doing poor in school is because she’s had something preoccupy her mind…or someone. And that someone…was her tutor.
Dawn: Conway and…Rox… (Gasp) Oh no! (Falls on her bed) Oh no! This is not happening. (She starts to cry) Con-way… (Sobs)
Zoey: It’ll be alright Dawn. (She embraces her) It’ll be okay Dawn. Everything’s going to be okay. I’m…here for you! (Back at May’s apartment)
Drew: May! (Knocking on the door) May!
May: Hold on! (Opens the door) What do you want? (Looks down) You really expect me to forgive you if you bring me flowers and some cake? You are so predictable!
Drew: Don’t ever say I’m that word.
May: What the hell do you want?
Drew: Look May, I shouldn’t have kept that from you. But you have to believe me, the day I met you, that’s the day I forgot about every other female I’ve ever dated. Even the long-time ones!
May: I bet you told Janet that same crap after you had sex with her.
Drew: That was five years ago! But she felt foolish coming back here. People change within five years time. I settled down and had a family and I like this part of my life. And I wouldn’t change that for anything in the world. You should know that by now May.
May: (Sighs) You realize this is going to take me a long time to forgive you for this incident. Hiding this for five years! But if you have no mutual feelings for this woman…I suppose I can forgive you. Besides…It could have been worse. You could have gotten her pregnant and have an illegitimate son or daughter somewhere.
Drew: Funny story about that… (May growls) Just teasing! Sara’s my only daughter. (A few days later at the Graduation)
Brianna: You ready to give your speech today?
Dawn: As ready as I’m ever going to be. Though it was really hard to concentrate with so much on my mind!
Zoey: Dawn, are you okay?
Dawn: I will be. (Conway walks up) Hmph.
Conway: Dawn?
Brianna: Do you need me here? I can kick him!
Dawn: I’m good. (Sighs and smiles) What goes around comes around Conway. I’d remember that if I were you. You had a good thing with me and you blew it. You cheated on me with Roxanne. Not just any other girl at this school! Roxanne, the biggest SLUT of Pallet High!
Conway: I didn’t mean to…
Dawn: Save it! I don’t even want to hear it. What goes around comes around! Because you hurt me, chances are you’re going to be hit with a triple whammy. And when that day comes, I will not pity you. (She walks away) So long Conway…I now know that men are truly scum! (A little later on stage)
Oak: Our next speaker is truly one special lady. She’s gone through her whole high school experience with a happy-go-lucky attitude and that’s what most love about her. She’s a four year theatre student, three-year French Club, and two years of Golf. Please welcome to the stage, Dawn Berlitz. (Cheering and applause)
Dawn: Thank you class! I am not the greatest. I’m not the smartest, the most popular, the most talented, or even the most organized. I’m basically an average student. But hey, we’re all different in our own ways. That’s what makes us unique. One thing that we all have in common is that we are now high school graduates. Every one of us on that stage will have that. And as I was telling a…former classmate…What goes around, comes around. It’s the philosophy I go by for good karma and bad karma. You do some good, and some good will come your way… (A little later outside)
Johanna: Oh I’m so proud of you Dawn! I was so worried when you walked out on stage.
Dawn: No need to worry Mom. I had everything under control.
Johanna: You know I worry the most when you tell me not to worry.
Brianna: So Dawn, did that “What goes around comes around” mantra take it’s effect yet?
Zoey: Sometimes it takes a while for that to happen. You can’t expect it to happen immediately.
Dawn: On the contrary, I got word that Marley is getting sent to a boot camp somewhere in Texas.
Brianna: And don’t forget Roxanne being stripped away from getting her high school diploma. I wonder what kind of bad karma will befall the pervert.
Zoey: Hey guys, look over there! Roxanne showed up! (Nearby)
Roxanne: Conway, I’m pregnant.
Conway: What the… (Car horn beeps)
Dawn: Ha! That’s Karma you bitch!
Brianna: I guess it’s all downhill from here.
Dawn: No, from what I’ve heard college is a little better. You’re in a much more mature environment as long as you stay away from the sororities.
Brianna: Oh really? Well there goes my first dream.
Zoey: Well for us, the sky’s the limit!
Narrator: And so, as Dawn, Zoey, and Brianna leave the stadium, they’ll never forget their time at Pallet High School. The friends they’ve made, the triumphs, the falls, and all the juicy blackmail. What will become of our precious friends, only time will tell.
