Narrator: (Rapping) It’s like Romeo and Juliet, hot sex…Oh sorry about that! I’ve been listening to that one rap song! It’s very catchy if I do say so myself! Hey but enough about that, here’s the story!
May: Alright, everybody it’s time to start today's rehearsal! (Everybody sits down) Okay, now quiet everyone! (Still conversation) I SAID SHUT UP!
Marcus: Is it just me or has May been extra bitchy lately?
James: It’s just the role of the stage manager. You saw how Solidad changed.
Joshua: No, Marcus is right. Ever since the Romeo and Juliet audition, May has really changed. But it’s not surprising since her boyfriend is the star of the play. And considering she has to be on the sidelines as she sees Drew kissing Dawn on stage, it may have left her angry and bitter. (May clears her throat)
May: What part of "shut up" do you not comprehend Joshua?
Joshua: Sorry May.
May: One more outburst from you and you’re out of the play!
Erika: Geez, calm down! (May growls) What I mean is, don’t take your anger and frustration on Joshua.
Kelly: Please Erika, don’t make things worse. (Backstage)
Marisa: Oh crap! I’m late! Miss Vivian and May are going to have my head for this! (A door opens) Huh?
Miss Vivian: YOU’RE FIRED! GET OUT OF MY OFFICE!!! (A guy runs out of the office) The people I put up with!
Marisa: Is everything okay?
Miss Vivian: Huh? Oh Marisa, it’s only you. I kind of have a little problem right now. I just fired the boy who was in charge of the props for the play. Turns out he was doing something unspeakable and the front office suspended him from school. So I had to fire him from the production. I really can’t get into too much detail.
Marisa: Well that’s not good! (Thinking) Great! I should have just kept my mouth shut about him smoking pot in the costume room until after the performances.
Miss Vivian: But Marisa, you can be my way out of the hole. Could you be in charge of the props for Romeo and Juliet? I know it's last minute, but I could really use your help on this one.
Marisa: Huh? Miss Vivian, I kind of have my hands full with my part.
Miss Vivian: Please Marisa. I’m kind of at the end of my ropes on this one and I need some help.
Marisa: (Sighs) Hopefully it won’t be so bad. Okay, count me in. (During rehearsals)
Miss Vivian: For the last time Dawn, it’s perfectly okay to kiss him during rehearsals. I don’t know why all of you girls have to be so strict about a little old stage kiss!
Dawn: Ugh, can’t I just blow him a kiss?
Miss Vivian: No! Absolutely not! In the final scene, you must kiss the dying Romeo! That scene is the most romantic part of the story and I want everyone in the theatre to be in tears at this point. I’m not making last minute changes just because some cute boy makes you blush and giggle.
Dawn: No, it’s not like that!
Miss Vivian: Then what is the problem Dawn?
Dawn: I just don’t feel…It’s just that…Well, it’s sort of like…Um…I can’t really explain this.
Miss Vivian: (Sighs) I’ll cut you a break Dawn. You don’t have to do the kiss until the performance if you don’t want to. But once opening night arrives, I expect you to do it. Do I make myself clear?
Dawn: Yes ma’am. (Backstage)
Brianna: Dawn, you wuss! You should never pass up an opportunity kissing a cute boy like Drew! Sure he may be taken, but you should never lose that opportunity!
Erika: Oh, Dawn wouldn’t be the first one to do this. May was the same way last year when she starred opposite of Drew.
Brianna: You don’t say.
Erika: She was afraid of kissing him because she secretly had a crush on him. (May walks up)
Brianna: Do you think that Dawn has the same feelings that May did?
Erika: Probably. (May clears her throat)
May: Is this a tea party? (They shake their head no) Then stop talking backstage and get in your places! (After rehearsals)
Grace: Are you feeling alright May?
May: Yes! Why do you even ask?
Kelly: We’re just a little…concerned. It’s just that ever since you became stage manager, you’ve kind of jumped down everybody’s throat for even the littlest of problems.
May: I’m just fine. You know how the pressures of stage manager can be. Remember how Solidad was last year?
Kelly: I guess you’ve got a point there.
Grace: Hmm! (Glares at May)
May: Why are you looking at me like that?
Grace: You’re not pregnant, are you?
May: Of course not! WHY WOULD YOU THINK OF SOMETHING LIKE THAT?!
Grace: Well you have been moodier than usual within the last couple of weeks. Not to mention that you were throwing up quite a bit the other day.
May: You’re getting suspicious over nothing. And the reason why I was throwing up was because I had the flu.
Kelly: Well if it was the flu, at least you got it done and out of the way before the show starts. We don’t need anymore drama for the time being. That’s why it’s a good thing that we got our flu shots.
Grace: Yes.
Kelly: Side-effects may include headache, abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting, dizziness, and heatstroke.
Grace: (Sighs) I wonder about you sometimes Kelly. Hey Marisa, what are you doing?
Marisa: I’m making a list of what I need for props.
Grace: I didn’t know you were on props!
Marisa: I wasn’t. This was a last minute change. The other person in charge of props got kicked off and so I’m in charge.
Kelly: Sure you can handle everything? You have to be in charge of all of the props and go back and forth from the stage to the back. Won’t you get overwhelmed by the stress?
Grace: Will you stop trying to scare her? Really Marisa, it’s great that you’ve decided to take on all of this responsibility.
May: I’m glad that she finally got rid of that prop guy! He was a jerk!
Marisa: Yeah, I wasn’t too fond of him either.
Kelly: Wonder what he got kicked out for?
Marisa: Something involving pot I believe.
Grace: Why do I have the feeling that you had something to do with him getting in trouble?
Marisa: Don’t be silly. He’s not worth my time. (Outside in the courtyard)
Dawn: Hmm…
O Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?
Deny thy father and refuse thy name,
Or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love (Zoey walks up)
And I’ll no longer be a Capulet.
Zoey:
Shall I hear more, or shall I speak at this?
Dawn: Oh Zoey, it’s just you.
Zoey: Yeah, it’s just me.
Dawn: You scared me for a second.
Zoey: Oh, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to. I’ve sat in on many rehearsals to know what Romeo says next and the same with Juliet. So I couldn’t resist!
Dawn: Wow! You’re really good!
Zoey: Well, this isn’t the first time I’ve read this play and I’m sure it won’t be the last.
Dawn: I swear Zoey, if this was an all-girls school, you would definitely be Romeo in this play. (Zoey blushes)
Zoey: How nice of you to say that. Thank you Dawn! That’s odd! You seemed a lot calmer when reciting your lines alone, yet you’re a little uneasy when you’re up on stage with Drew? Is there something wrong?
Dawn: It’s not that I’m nervous about acting next to an experienced actor like Drew. It’s really the kiss I’m more worried about. Somehow, I just don’t feel comfortable kissing him. It’s not like I’m nervous about kissing any guy, it’s just that every time I go in for a stage kiss, I always see May from the backstage glaring at me.
Zoey: I see. May’s just jealous! She wanted the role of Juliet so that she could be with Drew and that no one else but her would kiss him. Well I can't help you with May. But I can do something else. (Grabs the script) How about I help you with your lines?
Dawn: Yeah! I love that idea! Thanks so much Zoey! I can use all the practice I can get before opening night.
Zoey: Great, now let’s take it back to where you left off.
Dawn: Okay…
‘Tis but thy name that is my enemy.
Thou art thyself, though not a Montague.
What’s Montague? It is nor hand, nor foot,
Nor arm, nor face, nor any other part
Belonging to a man. Oh, be some other name!
What’s in a name? That which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet.
So Romeo would, were he not Romeo called,
Retain that dear perfection which he owes
Without that title. Romeo, doff thy name,
And for thy name, which is no part of thee,
Take all myself.
Zoey: (Blushes) Hmm…
Dawn: How was that?
Zoey: Um…great. I really was convinced that you were indeed Juliet.
Dawn: (Giggles) Great. Thanks Zoey.
Zoey: Now let’s continue. (That night at Dawn’s house)
Johanna: So did you have a good day at school dear?
Dawn: It was okay! I’m just looking forward to the play next week. You are coming to the play, right?
Johanna: Now what kind of mother would I be if I didn’t go see my only daughter play the lead in Romeo and Juliet!
Dawn: It’s going to be so much fun! And the night of the last performance, Erika is throwing a cast party. I’ve never been to one of those, but some of the other girls told me that they’re a whole lot of fun.
Johanna: Now remember dear, you have to take care of yourself until then. I wouldn’t want you getting sick before the performance. All of your friends are counting on you to put on a great show.
Dawn: No need to worry Mom, I’m as healthy as an ox!
Johanna: When you tell me not to worry, that’s when I worry the most. I suppose you didn’t stop by the clinic after school to get your flu shot like I told you to.
Dawn: (Hesitates) I guess it must have slipped my mind.
Johanna: (Sighs) You need to get that shot! The flu and so many other viruses are going around pretty fast and I don’t want you getting any kind of virus!
Dawn: I’ll go after school tomorrow. No need to worry!
Johanna: There’s that phrase again! And that’s what you told me this morning!
Dawn: Yeah but that was before I knew that rehearsals were going to take all afternoon. (The next afternoon at the theatre)
Miss Vivian: Thank you so much Tracey!
Marcus: What are you doing here?
Tracey: Well, Miss Vivian stopped me in the hallway today and asked me if I could do some advertising for the play.
Marcus: Ah yes, advertising! That is a fun field! You get to show your creative side to the whole school.
Miss Vivian: That’s not all Marcus. Tracey has also decided to help out with the set crew.
Tracey: I also got Ash to help out.
Ash: Happy to help!
Marcus: As long as it’s just you two, I think the theatre will be okay!
Ash: What do you mean?
Marcus: I was afraid you brought Brock along and we do not need his perverted behavior distracting the actresses. Boy, Marisa should be excited about this. (In the classroom)
Marisa: Okay, I think I got everything on this list! Oh, except for the chalice that Romeo drinks out of.
Erika: Hey, I’ve got one of those at home! I can always bring it in for you.
Marisa: That’s great Erika! I would just bring it as soon as possible.
Erika: You can count on me.
Marisa: Luckily, I have everything else on this list so I shouldn’t have to stress over a lot during the performances. (Marcus enters the classroom)
Marcus: Hey little buddy, guess who’s come to help out with the play! (Tracey and Ash walk in) Ta-da!
Marisa: Holy crap! You two are going to help us? Why the sudden change? Ash, you told me that you would never be in a play, especially one that is hard to understand. Same with you Tracey!
Marcus: Ash and Tracey are going to be on the set crew. Just promise me that you and Tracey won’t go in the green room and start going at it like jack rabbits!
Marisa: Shut up!
Tracey: I don’t mind helping out. Miss Vivian seemed a little desperate for help.
Marcus: She didn’t get on her knees and beg, did she?
Ash: No, but I saw her tear up a little bit when she was talking to us.
Tracey: What are you doing Marisa?
Marisa: Going over props.
Tracey: I didn’t know you were on props.
Marisa: I was kind of put on the spot yesterday.
Tracey: Well if you need any help with that, I’d be happy to help you out.
Marisa: Thanks Tracey, but I should be okay.
Narrator: Once the rehearsal started today, everything seemed to go with the flow. Tracey and Ash got the hang of things around the theatre and were right on cue with the set changes most of the time. Meanwhile, Dawn still felt a little uncomfortable when it came to the kissing scenes as she kept seeing May’s face every time she went in. Unfortunately, Dawn didn’t take her mother’s advice like she should have. She kept putting off getting the flu vaccination and wasn’t cautious of the people around her until it was too late. When she woke up on Sunday morning (three days before the performance) she noticed that she was unable to speak! On Monday, things were getting a little hectic around the theatre.
Miss Vivian: This is not good! I thought I was out of the woods, but somehow I got slapped in the face along the way! (Inhales and exhales) Okay, screaming like a banshee and being a worrywart will get me no where. When in doubt, we will have to use the understudy. (May walks by) Oh May! Perfect timing! We have a problem.
May: What kind of problem?
Miss Vivian: I’m going to need you to play Juliet!
May: What happened to Dawn?
Miss Vivian: Well, I talked to Dawn’s mother yesterday and she told me that Dawn caught some kind of bug and lost her voice. We don’t know if she’ll be well enough to speak by Wednesday for opening night.
May: You want me play Juliet?
Miss Vivian: Yes! Thank God you’ve been able to memorize the lines and blocking during rehearsals. It was just in case something like this were to ever happen. (In the house)
Zoey: (Thinking) Where could Dawn be?
Marcus: I wonder where she could be. You don’t think Dawn is one of those types of people who would just ditch us near the end do you?
Zoey: No way! Dawn would never flake! Something must be wrong if she’s not here.
Brianna: I’m with Zoey on this one. I’ve known Dawn for several years now and the only time that she’s distant and doesn’t show up to something is if somebody pissed her off or if she got sick.
Drew: I hope that she’s okay. She’s worked so hard to get this far. (Miss Vivian and May walk out)
Miss Vivian: Okay everybody, listen up! Before any rumors circulate, I want to set the record straight on this one. Dawn is at home very sick. She lost her voice and we don’t know if she’ll be well enough for Wednesday’s performance. But never fear, we have our angel of mercy understudy May. Luckily, she knows all of Juliet’s lines and most of the blocking so there’s no need to worry. (Much later at Dawn’s house)
Johanna: It’s nice of you to visit Dawn like this Zoey. It’s just that Dawn’s sleeping right now, so I’m afraid you’ll have to cut the visit short.
Zoey: That’s fine! Has Dawn been able to talk?
Johanna: Barely. It’s kind of spooky having my daughter so silent. Here Zoey, wear this doctor’s mask. I wouldn’t want you getting sick as well.
Zoey: Um, thanks.
Johanna: What’s in the bag?
Zoey: Oh…it’s just a book she left at school the other day. (Opens the door)
Johanna: Okay, well there she is. I’ll be in the other room. (Johanna walks away)
Zoey: (Whispering) Dawn! Hey, I came to see how you were! Wait! Before you try to speak, I want you to eat some of the soup that I made. (Dawn hesitates) I guarantee that you will feel a hundred times better and you’ll gain your voice back.
Dawn: Huh?
Zoey: I’ve got to get going now. Remember to eat that whole bowl and you’ll be as good as new. (She leaves the room)
Dawn: (Thinking) Thank you Zoey.
Narrator: Whatever it was that Zoey put in that soup, Dawn was able to regain some of her energy and some of her voice by the next morning! Meanwhile, May was trying to get the part of Juliet down pact while Dawn was out. Although it wasn’t certain if Dawn would be able to make it through the three performances. Luckily, May was ready to go on stage no matter what. It was finally Wednesday and the pressure was on the entire theatre. Dawn wasn’t at school the entire day and it wasn’t looking too promising for the night.
Brianna: She hasn’t been in school for the past three days. Do you think she’ll show up tonight?
Zoey: I’m sure she will! She has to!
Miss Vivian: Well in any case, May will have to go on in Dawn’s place if Dawn fails to show up tonight.
May: Um, there’s one more problem! You see, if I’m going to be on stage for most of the play, who is going to take charge backstage? My assistant stage manager just called in sick and so I need an understudy for my job.
Miss Vivian: WHAT? You’ve got to be kidding me! I’m just going to need you to be backstage taking charge during the times that you’re not going to be on stage.
May: What about the times that I’m on stage? (In the classroom)
Marisa: How did I get so many tasks for these three days? There are plenty of other people in this play besides me. Why couldn’t Miss Vivian ask somebody else to play stage manager?
Marcus: Um, that’s just Miss Vivian’s way of saying she loves you. Plus, she trusts you and knows that there’s no one else who would take on the responsibility.
Marisa: Okay! I can handle the role of the Nurse and I can handle watching over the props and with any luck, I can watch over…everything else I need to watch over. I can do this!
Tracey: Hey if you need any help, I can always be of service to you.
Marisa: Its okay Tracey, I’ll be fine. Now onto more important matters concerning props. There’s just one missing piece of the puzzle with my props list. (Erika walks in) Erika! Where is the chalice you promised me?
Erika: What chalice?
Marisa: WHAT DO YOU MEAN?!
Erika: You don’t have to yell!
Marisa: You said you were going to get me a chalice for the final scene! The scene where Romeo drinks the poison!
Erika: Oh yeah, about that…I forgot that I sold it for five bucks at my garage sale last year! Sorry about that! (Marisa screams)
Marisa: Now you listen to me! I’ve been very patient with you all week long and now I WANT MY MOTHER FUCKING CHALICE!!!
Tracey: Whoa, calm down! (Marisa glares at him) Ugh, never mind! (Marisa sighs)
Marisa: Thank you Tracey, sorry about that. (A little later)
Ash: Hey Marisa, look what I’ve got!
Marisa: It looks like a chalice…Holy crap, you are the best Ash! Wait a minute! How did you get this? Better yet, how did you know what a chalice was?
Ash: I really don’t know what a chalice is, but I do know what Romeo drinks the poison out of. By the way, that’s really a wine glass spray painted with black paint. I'm hoping my mom doesn't notice one of her wine glasses missing.
Marisa: Okay, that’s one thing I don’t have to worry about anymore. (May walks in)
May: The house just opened so we have to start whispering.
Ash: You look really nice May.
May: Thank you Ash! (Dawn walks inside wearing her costume)
Marisa: You’re here! Are you feeling better? (Dawn nods) Uh, can you speak?
Zoey: She doesn’t want to overdo it before going on stage. Come on Dawn, let’s go into the dressing room and I’ll do your hair and make up.
Marcus: Guess the show will go on with our Juliet! (May scoffs and walks away) What’s her problem? (In the dressing room)
Zoey: I always knew I would enjoy working on your hair, but I didn’t know I would enjoy it this much.
Dawn: Um Zoey, thank you…for everything.
Zoey: Oh it’s no problem Dawn. I’ve always liked working with hair and make-up.
Dawn: It’s not just that. It was because of that soup you gave me that made me feel so much better. If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t be here today.
Zoey: You’re giving me too much credit. I am glad that you’re feeling much better.
Dawn: Why did you do that?
Zoey: Well for one thing, I really wanted to see you on stage as Juliet. It’s not everyday that a freshman gets the leading role in the school play. And second, it’s because you’re my friend. You’re one of the coolest girls in our class and you’re someone I respect.
Dawn: (Blushes) You really mean it?
Zoey: Of course. I would never lie to you about something like that. Alright, your hair is all done. What do you think Dawn?
Dawn: I LOVE IT!!!
Zoey: Okay, okay, don’t overdo the voice. Now sit tight and I’ll do your make-up! (Back in the classroom)
Drew: You don’t think I look dorky in these tights, do you?
Marcus: Well, it’s a little better than when you were dressed as a munchkin in The Wizard of Oz freshmen year. (Drew groans)
May: We’ve got twenty minutes! (She walks away)
Drew: May! Are you feeling okay?
May: (Angrily) I’m fine Drew!
Drew: Something’s bothering you and I can tell! (May sighs) Well…
May: What is Dawn to you?
Drew: Oh Christ! May, you’ve got to get over this whole jealousy issue. You were jealous of Candice during Homecoming and now you want to attack Dawn!
May: I’m going to ask you one more time! What is she to you?
Drew: She’s just a co-star and nothing more!
May: I wish I could believe you…but I don’t! (Dawn walks in)
Dawn: You’re jealous of me May?
May: (Gasp) Oh Dawn…
Dawn: You have to trust me on this one I don’t have any feelings for Drew.
May: Hmm…
Dawn: Please May! I would never do anything to hurt you and I would never try to advance on Drew. I wanted to be Juliet because I thought it would be a great role and I thought it would be a lot of fun. But if it’s because of this stupid role that’s making you so upset, I won’t go through with it.
May: No Dawn! You won that role fair and square. I was just jealous…Again! I was afraid that there was something between the two of you. I’m sorry if I thought you were after my boyfriend.
Dawn: I really can’t blame you for being suspicious. You and Drew love each other so much and I don’t want to come in between you two. (Marisa walks in)
Marisa: May, Miss Vivian wants to speak to you!
May: I’m coming! (They leave)
Dawn: So I guess she’s that special to you.
Drew: Indeed. I love May.
Narrator: Luckily, the first two nights went along great. Both performances pulled in pretty big crowds and what was even better was that Dawn was feeling a lot healthier. It seemed like everything was coming along. But then the final performance had it’s ups and downs…Mostly downs!
Marisa: How did this happen?
Ash: Well, it just fell over and then it just crashed!
Marisa: The balcony just fell over on it’s own? Or is that the lie you just want to tell me?
Ash: It’s actually a little bit of both! (Zoey runs up)
Zoey: We need some cough drops fast! Dawn’s voice is going again! (Marisa groans)
Marcus: Ooh, I’ve got some! Have her take these and she’ll be good as new.
Zoey: Thanks Marcus! (Harley runs up)
Harley: Anyone seen the mop?
Marisa: Why do you need a mop?
Harley: Well Joshua threw up in the hallway. Yeah, it’s pretty ugly out there! (Marisa groans) Hey, just be thankful that he’s only in a few scenes and says very little.
Marisa: Alright, there’s a mop in the tool room. Just hurry up and clean it up before anybody sees it or trips over it! (Harley leaves) Ugh, I need a breath of fresh air or a shot of tequila! (Nearby)
Kelly: Oh crap! Oh crap! Look what I did!
Grace: Alright don’t panic! Maybe no one will notice! Yeah! Marisa wouldn’t notice anything as small as a wine glass!
Kelly: Now look who’s in denial! She almost choked the life out of Erika for that wine glass so she’s going to notice! (Marisa walks up)
Marisa: Hello girls! (Crunching sounds) What the hell am I stepping on? What’s this broken glass? (Looks on the prop table) Was that the wine glass?
Kelly: DON’T KILL US!
Grace: It was an accident, really!
Kelly: WE LOVE YOU! PLEASE DON'T HATE US! (Marisa runs into the green room and shuts the door)
Grace: That was scary! She didn’t even cuss us out to the next century like she normally does to people. (A little later)
May: Where the hell is Marisa?
Dawn: I don’t know! I haven’t seen her in over an hour.
May: Hey, you got your voice back!
Dawn: (Yawning) Yeah! I’m just very tired!
Zoey: What were in those pills?
Marcus: It’s just cough drops! See!
Zoey: You’re supposed to take these pills before you go to bed! This crap makes her drowsy!
Marcus: Whoops!
May: Ugh, somebody just give Dawn some coffee so she’ll stay awake. Marcus, I need you to go and find Marisa. I need her and I haven’t seen her around.
Harley: May, we need a bucket. Joshua’s going to be sick again.
May: I’ll get you one in a second. (Joshua vomits)
Harley: Too late!
Marcus: I wonder where little buddy could be! (Opens the green room) There you are!
Marisa: Close the door and go away!
Marcus: Oh my God! Why are you shaking? And you’re crying! (Zoey walks in)
Zoey: There you guys are!
Marcus: Zoey, get Tracey now! (Zoey leaves) Do you want to tell me what’s wrong?
Marisa: (Sobs) Just go away!
Zoey: They’re in here!
Tracey: What’s going on? Oh my God! Marisa, what’s the matter? (Marisa cries on his shoulders) It’s okay! Everything is going to be okay! I’m here! Marcus, what the hell happened to her?
Marcus: I think everything just piled up on her all at once. I suppose it was just the stress of this show. (May walks in) GET OUT! (May leaves) Come on little buddy, we all need you. The show just can’t go on without you!
Tracey: Don’t say that, she’s already overwhelmed.
Marcus: I’m stating the truth! Hey, if it makes you feel any better, Tracey and I can help you with the anarchy backstage. I don’t mind running damage control.
Marisa: I would like that very much.
Tracey: That’s much better! I don’t like to see you cry. Marcus, could you get her a cup of water? (Marcus leaves) I told you that I would be happy to help you. Why you have to be so hard-headed, I’ll never know.
Marisa: I know Tracey. I thought I would be able to handle everything on my own. I guess the pressure finally got to me and I cracked, that’s all. I should be fine.
Tracey: I hope so. (Marisa stands up) You sure you’re feeling okay? Maybe you should just sit for a while, at least until it’s time for your scene.
Marisa: No, I should go out and see what all the chaos is about.
Narrator: Thankfully, things around the theatre started to run a little more smoothly than before. Dawn was able to stay awake for the times that she had to be on stage. Although when she was backstage, she would constantly fall asleep. When it was time to do the famous balcony scene, Drew and Dawn had to do a little improve and cut out a few lines having to do with the word balcony. But they did get the point across to the audience! When it came time to the final scene of Romeo and Juliet, Drew had to use a shot glass instead of a chalice. That night, everybody was over at Erika’s house for the big cast party.
Tracey: Feeling better?
Marisa: Much better now that the play is over. I’m never doing that again! I don't need the stress and panic attacks are no fun!
Marcus: Glad to hear you’re back to your old self again!
Tracey: Same here. You had me very worried.
Marisa: I’m sorry if I scared you. (He puts his arm around her)
Marcus: Touching. (Zoey walks up) Hey ladies. How’s it going?
Dawn: (Yawns) Okay.
Zoey: Considering you gave her those damn pills!
Marcus: Oh sure, blame the guy with the drowsy formula medication! (May and Drew walk by) Hey, where are you two going?
Drew: We’re going to go home now.
May: We’ve had our fun for the evening, so we’re going to call it a night.
Marcus: Okay. We’ll see you Monday. (They walk away)
May: Ready?
Drew: You bet! (He puts his arm around her)
