Narrator: Viewer discretion is advised…Wait! What kind of chapter is this if I have to say that? (Flips through script) Oh my!
Marisa: Oh, you’re so good to me! One last kiss before I go off to class.
Tracey: Okay. (She puckers up) Oh Marcus! (He walks away)
Marisa: What the hell?
Marcus: What’s up Tracey?
Tracey: I want to talk to you about something in private.
Marcus: Sure thing.
Marisa: Okay, I see what this is all about. Don’t let me interrupt your precious guy time!
Marcus: Glad you see it our way!
Tracey: I’ll see you later! (Blows her a kiss)
Marisa: Right…Later! (In the boy’s bathroom)
Marcus: So what’s on your mind this week? Are you meeting Marisa’s family again?
Tracey: No and thank God I’m not going through that again. As you know, next week is Marisa’s birthday and I was wondering if you would help me set up a birthday party.
Marcus: You want to do what?
Tracey: Please Marcus!
Marcus: No more parties! Not after Misty’s last birthday!
Tracey: Hey if it weren’t for that party, Marisa and I wouldn’t have gotten together.
Marcus: Well, some good did come out of that party.
Tracey: So you’ll help me out with setting this whole thing up?
Marcus: Okay Tracey, I will help you out. But I think you should know a little something before jumping into this grave. She doesn't like surprises! She’s most likely to pull out a bottle of pepper spray at her own surprise party. More importantly, she doesn’t really want people to know how old she is.
Tracey: She’s turning 18, right?
Marcus: What the hell? You’re supposed to be her boyfriend and know everything! She’s actually turning 17.
Tracey: You mean she’s only 16? Did she skip a grade?
Marcus: Well actually…Eh never mind! It’s a long story. Now do you still want to go through with this?
Tracey: Of course.
Marcus: Fine, fine. It’s your funeral! (At lunch)
Misty: A birthday party for Marisa? That sounds like fun!
Sakura: Question! Is it at my house?
Tracey: No, it’ll be at my house.
Sakura: Another question! Are there any nine month pregnant women attending the affair?
Tracey: No one we know is nine months pregnant so I’m saying no.
Sakura: Another question! Is Harley coming?
Tracey: Yes, I’m inviting him because he is one of Marisa’s friends.
Sakura: Another question!
Marcus: Shut up woman! It’s not going to be like Misty’s party!
Sakura: Tell me to shut up again Marcus and I’ll cram my fist down your throat!
Marcus: Yes ma’am!
Dawn: Are we invited?
Tracey: Sure. You and Zoey are more than welcome to attend.
Zoey: Cool.
Tracey: But remember, it’s to be a surprise! So no leaking anything to her about it!
Laura: Why do you want to throw a party for Marisa? You know, she doesn't like surprises.
Marcus: I told him. But of course, no one ever listens to me!
Tracey: I want to do something nice for her. She deserves it.
Marcus: For the love of God, take her out! Go to the movies! Buy her chocolates! Give her a blow job! You don’t give Marisa a surprise party! She’s the type that if you surprise her, she might pull out a weapon!
Tracey: Oh crap, here she comes! Remember, not a word to her about the you-know-what! (Marisa walks up)
Marisa: Hi everybody! What are you all doing?
Brock: Oh, you know! The usual!
Marisa: The usual what Brock?
Brock: Um…ugh…Oh, um…
Misty: Look Brock, Marina’s not wearing a bra!
Brock: Jiggle time! (He runs over there)
Marina: PERVERT! (He gets hit by a book)
Brock: Ouch…That hurt!
Marisa: Usually that would lift my spirits and make me laugh.
Tracey: Something wrong?
Marisa: Just an uneasy feeling right now. I’m getting a little worried. Have you guys seen Sylvester? I haven’t seen him in a couple of days.
Dawn: Your freshman? I haven’t seen him around for quite a while.
Zoey: I have a math class with him, but he hasn’t been in class for like three days or so.
Marcus: You’ve been very concerned with Sylvester from the start. What gives?
Marisa: I really can’t explain it to you guys. (Thinking) I can’t help but think that he’s being abused at home by his father.
Misty: Don’t worry about it. I’m sure Sylvester is okay. (Crash)
Sakura: Whoa, what was that?
Misty: Anabel tripped!
Ash: I’ll help her! (Ash walks over)
Anabel: I’m such a klutz! Damn.
Ash: Anabel? (She jumps)
Anabel: Oh, it’s only you Ash. You scared me for a second. I guess I wasn’t paying attention and the next thing I knew I was on the ground.
Ash: I didn’t mean to scare you. Are you okay?
Anabel: Yeah, no harm done.
Ash: Huh? Whoa Anabel! Where’d you get that shiner?
Anabel: Shiner?
Ash: Yeah, that big, black-eye!
Anabel: Oh no! Where’s my cap? (She puts on a baseball cap)
Ash: So what happened?
Anabel: Oh the black eye! It happened during softball practice and I was being a total klutz again! Well it was nice talking to you Ash but I have to get going now. (Ash walks back to the table)
Ash: Huh, I didn’t know that Anabel was on the softball team.
Marisa: Ash, three things! One, Anabel isn’t on the softball team. Two, it’s not softball season. And three, we don’t have a softball team.
Ash: Then, how did she get that black-eye?
Marisa: A black eye?
Ash: Yeah.
Misty: Who knows?
Marisa: I wonder what’s going on with her.
Ash: Not a clue. I really haven’t talked to Anabel as much since our freshmen year.
Sakura: This maybe nothing, but lately I’ve been seeing Anabel with this bigger, taller guy after school. I can’t really tell who this guy is! Maybe it’s her boyfriend?
Misty: You think she might be getting abused by her own boyfriend? That’s just sick and wrong! (Marisa stands up and walks away) Now that was strange! (Gary walks up)
Laura: Hi Gary!
Gary: Hello Laura! How are you guys doing?
Ash: What’s it to you, Gary?
Gary: I was just asking. No need for you to get all snappy at me Ashy-boy! I just came by to see how Laura here was doing.
Marcus: She’s fine Gary. Now you know the agreement! Marisa doesn’t want to see you anywhere near her little cousin. If she knew you were hanging around Laura, she’d kill you and then kill me.
Gary: If that’s how you really feel. (He walks away)
Laura: It’s nice that you want to protect me Marcus, but I’m choosing to see Gary. There’s something about him that seems so nice.
Marcus: Your cousin isn’t going to like this.
Laura: She’s not going to know as long as you shut your mouth!
Marcus: You’re getting just as bossy as your cousin! You’re going to be a big ball-buster just like her!
Laura: But for the rest of you guys please don’t tell Marisa about this!
Misty: Sure, I guess. (Laura walks away) Are you sure we shouldn’t tell Marisa about those two?
Tracey: Well, maybe Gary has changed for the better.
Marcus: It’s just like you to see the good in everybody.
Brock: You’re right Marcus. I mean, he was able to see the good in Satan herself. (Tracey hits Brock on the head)
Tracey: Oh shut up! (The next morning in the hallway)
Marisa: What on earth happened to you?
Sylvester: Oh, I was just sick for the last few days!
Marisa: I’m not talking about that Sylvester! I’m talking about your arm! How did you break it?
Sylvester: I really don’t want to talk about it, so let’s just drop it!
Marisa: Sylvester, I’m just concerned is all. I just want to make sure that you’re okay.
Sylvester: It’s okay Marisa! I was just careless and that’s how I broke my arm. But I’m glad that you’re so concerned about me. It shows me that you really care. (Marcus and Tracey walk up)
Marcus: Hi you guys! Holy crap! Marisa didn’t do this to you did she?
Marisa: That’s not funny Marcus.
Marcus: You’re right, you’re right! If you don’t mind, we would like to have a private talk with Sylvester. Come along my boy!
Marisa: Hold up! You two have been having frequent bathroom conversations a lot lately!
Marcus: Tracey has a nervous bladder and I have an infection! Is there anything else you want to know?
Marisa: Yeah. What’s really going on?
Tracey: Hey, don’t worry about it. (He kisses her on the lips) I’ll talk to you later!
Marisa: (Sighs) Okay. (In the boy’s bathroom)
Marcus: Good work with that kiss!
Tracey: That’s my ace in the hole!
Marcus: Ha! I bet it wouldn’t work when she’s on her monthly!
Tracey: More information that I didn’t want to know!
Sylvester: What’s this all about?
Tracey: Well, first we just want to ask you if you are okay.
Sylvester: You guys, I’m fine!
Marcus: You seem a little too fine for guy who has a broken arm. I mean, how’d you break it?
Sylvester: Just drop it! I don’t want to talk about it. Now is this why you dragged me into the boy’s bathroom?
Tracey: Actually, no! We wanted to let you know that we are throwing a surprise birthday party for Marisa.
Marcus: There’s no “we” in this! This is all your doing!
Tracey: And you’re invited!
Sylvester: Gee guys, I don’t know if I can. I don’t think my dad would want me to go to this party but I’ll see what I can do.
Tracey: Well if you can get your father to let you go, here are the directions to my house. (Bell rings)
Sylvester: I better get to class. I’ll see you boys later! (He walks off)
Marcus: Huh?
Tracey: Something wrong?
Marcus: I have a weird feeling about something. I’ll see you later Tracey.
Tracey: Bye. (Outside a classroom)
Marcus: Get over here!
Marisa: Marcus, I’m trying to go to class. Do you think this can wait?
Marcus: No I don’t! I just got this weird feeling about something.
Marisa: What are you talking about?
Marcus: It may just be my imagination once again, but I’m having a really bad feeling about Sylvester. And I have a feeling you have that worry as well.
Marisa: Marcus, I was afraid to talk to anyone about this and I know this is bad of me to hide something like this, especially for so long. You know it’s not in my nature to keep something like this wrapped up. I just have this fear that Sylvester is being abused by his own father.
Marcus: Have you actually seen it?
Marisa: Well…no. I just know it! I can’t really explain it. Call it women’s intuition, if you will. I know I just can’t stand back and let it continue…if it’s going on. But I need actual proof about this.
Marcus: So I guess it’s another investigation for the two of us. It’ll be just like the good old days before you got all girlish and got a boyfriend. (Marisa smacks him upside his head) I mean, you’re just as manly as you ever! (Out in the parking lot)
Ash: Crap, crap, crap! I’m going to be late for class! Why did I ask for thirds at breakfast? Whoa! Car with the windows all fogged up! Somebody's getting lucky today! (The car door opens)
Anabel: Get your hands off me you big ape!
Ash: What the…Anabel?
Anabel: Let me go!
Brandon: Get back in here! (He drags her into the car and slaps her)
Ash: GET OFF OF HER! (He grabs Anabel)
Anabel: Ash!
Brandon: I’m out of here! (He shuts the door and drives away)
Ash: Who was that guy? (She falls to the ground) Anabel! (Gasp) Your hand is bleeding! (She starts crying) Oh no, please don’t cry! Come on. I’ll take you to Nurse Joy! (A couple of minutes later in the Nurse’s office)
Nurse Joy: There you are. You’re all bandaged up!
Anabel: Thanks Nurse Joy.
Nurse Joy: That was deep gash on your hand. What happened?
Anabel: …I tripped and I cut it…That’s all. (Ash groans)
Nurse Joy: Is that also how you got your black-eye? (Anabel groans) Anabel, I won't force you to say anything you don't want to. But I would highly suggest you speak to Scott if this subject matter goes deeper than cuts and bruises.
Anabel: Fine.
Nurse Joy: Well in any case. Ash, thank you for bringing her in here! You are a true gentleman.
Ash: Thanks. Nurse Joy, do you mind if I talk to Anabel in private?
Nurse Joy: Okay. I’ll just be outside if you need anything Anabel. (She leaves the room)
Ash: Okay Anabel, talk!
Anabel: There’s nothing to talk about.
Ash: Anabel, I just saw a guy slap you across the face and I’m placing the bet that he is the same person who gave you that black-eye. And I’m pretty confident that he stabbed you in the hand. Now tell me who that guy is! (Silence) Oh, come on! I promise that you can trust me to keep your secret.
Anabel: He’s my boyfriend. Brandon and I have been going out for about a year now and everything seemed to be going pretty good for a while. But then, this temper came out of nowhere and I really don’t know what to say about it.
Ash: Don’t settle for less. If he abuses you like this then you should leave!
Anabel: It’s kind of hard to explain. Every time I try to leave him, I always end up caving in and staying with him.
Ash: But he treats you like crap!
Anabel: I know he does...But I still love him. No matter how badly he treats me, I still love him. It was nice of you though to bring me to the nurse’s office. You really should be going off to class.
Ash: Are you sure you don’t need me to stay?
Anabel: Just go Ash. (He starts walking) And Ash, just one more thing! I don’t want anyone to know what happened today.
Ash: Just remember, if he truly cares about you the way you do, he shouldn’t be causing you harm. Just something you should think about. (He walks away)
Anabel: Oh, what am I going to do? (At lunch)
Misty: I wonder where Ash could be. He’s been acting stranger than normal today!
Sakura: You know what, everybody has been acting stranger than normal lately! It just seems like everybody has gone crazy!
Misty: Has anybody in this school EVER been sane?
Sakura: I guess not. Well on another subject, the birthday party is this Saturday.
Misty: Yeah, Tracey’s putting a lot of effort into throwing this party. As long as it isn't as chaotic as my last birthday! (May walks up)
May: Hi girls. Something wrong Misty?
Sakura: She’s concerned about Ash. She didn’t see him this morning and now she’s worried.
May: Oh, I just saw Ash!
Misty: Where was he?
May: He was outside talking to that one girl in our class. Her name starts with an A! It’s on the tip of my tongue!
Misty: Anabel?
May: Yeah, that’s her name. (Misty gets up) Whoa! Where are you going?
Misty: To get to the bottom of this.
Sakura: (Sighs) Misty’s suspicious over Anabel because she had a crush on Ash a couple of years ago.
May: Well, I heard from some of the girls in the theatre that Ash saved Anabel’s life this morning. Apparently, Ash beat up some guy in a car and saved Anabel.
Misty: Ash did that?
Sakura: I wouldn’t worry about it Misty. It’s been nearly three years since the whole Ash and Anabel fiasco and I doubt she’ll fall for him again. Plus, you know that Ash loves you. (Out in the courtyard)
Ash: Okay, my first bit of advice is to go talk to Scott. Talking to a councilor is the wisest thing to do at this point.
Anabel: Why are you doing this for me?
Ash: It’s because I don’t want to see you get hurt. And if you stay with this guy, he’s going to do a lot worse than the black-eye and the stab wound to the hand. (She sighs)
Misty: ASH!
Ash: Misty? What are you doing here?
Misty: I heard a crazy story just now that you beat up some guy in a car and saved Anabel! Is it true?
Ash: Sort of!
Misty: Oh Anabel, are you okay?
Anabel: I’m okay Misty. Thanks for asking.
Ash: Misty, this is a bit of a private matter. So if you could leave for a while, I would greatly appreciate it.
Misty: Okay then. (She walks away)
Anabel: And Ash, thank you for all that you’re doing for me. So I’m going to do what I need to do.
Ash: Which is?
Anabel: Cut off all contact with Brandon and get a restraining order.
Ash: Very good.
Anabel: You’re right Ash. I do deserve somebody better and putting up with abuse from him is just not worth it.
Ash: Glad I could help you out. (Anabel walks away)
Narrator: After school, Marcus and Marisa met up at the front office to go on with their mission. The plan was to follow Sylvester home (inconspicuously) in Marcus’s car. Luckily, Sylvester didn’t notice the car following him. Once he got home, Marcus parked the car near the house.
Marisa: Cool, you have your camera in the car!
Marcus: Yeah. I keep it here in case I see any strange sightings for the magazine. I need to one-up Wally! He has an actual picture of Tom Cruise in a ballerina tutu!
Marisa: You don’t actually believe that do you?
Marcus: It may have been photoshopped, but it still looks very convincing.
Marisa: Well let’s focus on what we have to do now.
Marcus: Right…When do you think his father will be home?
Marisa: I guess another two hours or so? (One hour later)
Marcus: Got any three’s?
Marisa: Go fish!
Marcus: Is he home yet?
Marisa: No. I didn’t see a car pull up! (One hour later)
Marcus: Does that make me crazy?
Marisa: Does that make me crazy?
Both: Does that make me crazy? Possibly! (One hour later)
Marcus: Damn it all! It’s almost 6:00pm and his father isn’t here yet.
Marisa: Maybe I should have considered that he might have a late-night job or that he might be out of town.
Marcus: For crying out loud Marisa, I have a life you know.
Marisa: Your life consists of reading fiction magazines and jacking off to Sailor Moon!
Marcus: You didn’t have to be so mean about it!
Marisa: Hold it! I see a car pulling up to the house. (A man walks out of the car) That must be the father. (She takes the camera) I’m going to try and get some action. (She walks out of the car) What luck! The blinds are open and I can get a good shot. (Back in the car)
Marcus: I hope she’s careful. (Phone rings) Huh? Hello.
Tracey: Marcus, where the hell are you? You were supposed to be here an hour ago to help me out!
Marcus: HOLY CRAP I FORGOT! (He starts the car and drives off)
Marisa: What the fuck?! (Thinking) That idiot drove off and left me in a strange neighborhood! He’s going to get it tomorrow! (Crash) Huh? What was that? (Gasp) I knew it. (The next morning)
Sylvester: Marisa, what's up?
Marisa: We need to talk.
Sylvester: Sure thing, what about?
Marisa: This isn’t easy for me to talk about. (She starts to tear up) I know what happens to you every time you’re home. I can’t let this go on Sylvester.
Sylvester: What are you talking about?
Marisa: The black-eye, the nervousness, the broken arm! I know that you’re being abused by your own father.
Sylvester: THAT’S A LIE! MY FATHER WOULD NEVER DO THAT!
Marisa: Stop lying to me! I saw it with my own eyes yesterday. I saw your father striking you in the face. Not only that, I have the whole action from last night on camera.
Sylvester: You were…spying on me?
Marisa: I had to find out the truth one way or another and I wasn’t going to wait until something terrible happens to you. I know you weren’t going to come forward or tell me about it.
Sylvester: Well you can’t tell anybody about this! My father is the only one I’ve got!
Marisa: I have to Sylvester. I have to report this to the police! What if he does worse than just a black-eye and a broken arm?
Sylvester: No! I won’t be separated from my family, no matter what! Just do me a favor and stay the hell away from me and butt out of my life! (Sylvester walks off)
Marisa: (Thinking) I have to do something. (Marcus walks up)
Marcus: Look Marisa, I’m sorry I drove off and left you last night. You’ll get a kick out of this story. You see…
Marisa: PISS OFF!
Marcus: Whoa! Hold the phone! What happened? What’s wrong?
Marisa: Oh, what do you care? You left before…never mind!
Marcus: Look, I’m sorry I left you in a strange neighborhood by yourself. I forgot about another obligation that I had to take care of. And what do you mean never mind? Did something happen? (She pulls out the camera)
Marisa: I saw it Marcus! I saw Sylvester being hit by his own father.
Marcus: What the hell are you doing talking to me? You have to go report this to the police immediately!
Marisa: That’s the problem Marcus! Sylvester asked me, he begged me, not to tell a soul about this. I know I said I would call the police if it was true. But now, I’m starting to have second thoughts.
Marcus: What second thoughts? There shouldn’t be second thoughts! You believe in what is right and what’s wrong and what’s happening to Sylvester is completely wrong! If you don’t go to the police on this one, then I’m going to.
Marisa: …Okay. You’re right. If I don’t turn this jerk in, something worse could end up happening to Sylvester. (Sniffling) Plus, I'd be a complete hypocrite to let this slide. (Tears up)
Marcus: Come on. (He hugs her) Let’s finish the job.
Narrator: The two of them went to see Scott and Truant Officer Jenny. After they told them the whole story and showed the video, they made a call to the police. Soon enough, the police arrested Sylvester’s father and took Sylvester down to the police station. The police thanked Marisa and Marcus for what they did and told them that Sylvester would be placed in a foster home. But now that the whole drama has been put to rest, it’s now Saturday and time for the birthday party.
Anabel: I really appreciate you letting me come to this party.
Ash: Oh it’s quite alright. You’re as welcome here as Americans are in Cuba!
Anabel: Um Ash, Cuba hates America!
Ash: Really? I thought they were friends!
Anabel: But I really appreciate it. I need something to take my mind off of things with Brandon.
Misty: I wonder where Marisa is.
Brock: Yeah, where’s the birthday girl? I didn’t spend three hours of my life baking this cake for it to go to waste.
Dawn: I hope she actually shows up to her own party!
Zoey: I hope she doesn’t catch on with all of the cars parked out front.
Sakura: Actually, we all parked in a parking garage nearby so she won’t get suspicious when she comes.
Tracey: Don’t worry, she should be coming soon…I hope! (In Marcus’s car)
Marcus: You shouldn’t have to worry Marisa. You did the right thing with Sylvester.
Marisa: I hope so.
Marcus: Come on. You know the boy was miserable with his father. And now that he’s in the state’s custody, he’s away from the abuse he had to suffer at home. One day, he’ll come to appreciate what you’ve done for him. Trust me when I said you did the right thing. Come on; let me see that old smile!
Marisa: I don’t feel like smiling. (Stops the car)
Marcus: Here we are!
Marisa: What are we doing at Tracey’s house?
Marcus: I thought you could use a little lift and seeing Tracey always cheers you up. Let’s go! (They knock on the door and it opens)
All: SURPRISE!
Marisa: WHAT THE HELL? (Pulls out a bottle of pepper spray)
Marcus: Whoa, whoa, whoa! PUT DOWN THE SPRAY! It’s a surprise party! You know, for your birthday!
Tracey: Happy Birthday Marisa!
Marisa: Oh my God, you guys didn’t have to do this. My birthday isn’t until Monday!
Tracey: Hey, well you’re worth it!
Marisa: Oh Tracey! (She hugs Tracey)
Marcus: Hey, what about a hug for the guy who helped? (Marisa smacks Marcus upside his head) Is that how you treat your best friend?!
Ash: Happy 17th Birthday!
Marisa: How do you know how old I’m going to be? (Marcus gives a nervous laugh)
Anabel: Happy Birthday Marisa!
Marisa: Anabel, this is a real surprise! (They hug) Glad to see you! (The doorbell rings)
Tracey: Who could that be? (He opens the door) Sylvester, you came!
Sylvester: Well, you did invite me. I was wondering if I could talk to the birthday girl.
Marisa: Hi Sylvester.
Sylvester: I wanted to stop by before I leave. I’m going to a foster home a few towns over.
Marisa: Well, I will certainly miss you Sylvester.
Sylvester: Marisa, I’m glad that I got this chance to know you. And I appreciate everything you’ve done for me. I just wanted you to know that!
Marisa: Hmm? Well I enjoyed being your senior adviser, even if it was only for a brief period. (Sylvester hugs her) Huh?
Sylvester: Thank you.
Marisa: Oh Sylvester. (Horn honks) Is that your ride Sylvester?
Sylvester: I don't think so. That man doesn’t look familiar.
Anabel: Excuse me for a second. I have to take care of some business! (She runs outside)
Ash: This can’t be good!
Sakura: Well come on, let’s get this party started!
Brock: Alright, I hope you all are ready for the cake I made. (All agreeing)
Harley: Ooh, I’ll have a double helping, big boy! (Brock groans)
Misty: Sounds delicious! (Looks out the window) Huh? (Outside)
Anabel: Brandon, you’re supposed to be 200 feet away from me!
Brandon: What the hell? What’s with the restraining order?
Anabel: I’m through with you and your abuse! I’ve had it!
Brandon: Hey, get back here! (He grabs her)
Anabel: Let…go of…me! (Misty runs)
Misty: LET HER GO! (Grabs Anabel)
Anabel: Stay out of this Misty! This is just between the two of us! You don’t control my life anymore Brandon! I want you to stay away from me. (He slaps Misty)
Brandon: You shouldn’t have interfered! Stupid bitch!
Anabel: Misty! Thanks a lot you asshole! She didn’t do anything to you! (He raises his fist again)
Ash: NO YOU DON’T! (Ash holds back the fist) I was going to ask you kindly to go away but after what I just saw, I’m telling you to get the hell away from here.
Brandon: You have nerve to tell me what to do shrimp?
Ash: You have nerve striking down females. Guys like you should be locked up! Now leave or I’m calling the cops! (Brandon stares at Ash and then punches him in the face)
Misty: Ash!
Brandon: You’re not worth my time. (He drives away)
Anabel: Ash! Oh my God, I’m so sorry this happened!
Ash: Don’t worry, I can take a punch. What about you Misty?
Misty: I’ll live. Anabel, what were you thinking dating a guy like that?
Anabel: Well, not anymore. It was thanks to Ash that I realized that I deserve better than him. Thank you Ash!
Ash: Don’t mention it!
Misty: (Thinking) So he was just helping her get out of an abusive relationship. That's my Ash for you. (Marcus and Tracey run outside)
Tracey: Are you three okay?
Misty: We’re okay now.
Marcus: Misty, what happened to your face?
Misty: It was just a stupid situation.
Marcus: That guy was lucky I wasn’t out here. I would have opened up a big old can of whup-ass on him.
Tracey: I got a couple of cold-compresses inside.
Misty: Thanks a lot Tracey!
Marcus: Now that this horribleness is behind us, why don’t we go back inside for the rest of the party?
Misty: Come on Anabel, join us!
Anabel: I don’t know if I should after all the trouble I’ve caused you guys.
Misty: Nonsense, we would love it if you would stay with us. (Ash nods)
Anabel: Okay. I’ll join.
Narrator: So the rest of the party went great. There was no more drama inflicted except for maybe a few bruised egos and flaming queens hitting on boys. But more importantly, Anabel and Sylvester were both able to live in peace and move on with the rest of their lives far away from their abusers.
