Sententia: Acies Teucrorum fere Latinos presserant ubi Turnus venit. Postquam milites relinquit, Latini paene qui novem Teucriam petivissent profligaverunt.
Note-this might not have happened. I just used the word in a way in which it might be used in Aeneid.
The line of battle of the Trojans had almost overcome the Latins when Turnus came. After he left his solders behind, the Latins almost had dashed to the ground those of the sort who had sought a new Troy.
