Thom Emrich

Thom Emrich AIA (BArch University of Nebraska) worked with the firm most recently known as Mithun (for some years Mithun Bowman Emrich) beginning in 1967.  He designed Mithun's Bellevue office, recognized by an AIA Seattle Honor Award. 

He succeeded founder Omer Mithun as the firm's President, managing Mithun employees' professional development and ethical performance.  He helped spearhead relocating the office from Bellevue to Seattle's Times Square Building in 1990. 

Among notable works, he served as project manager for the design of REI's flagship store in Seattle, & project director for Brightwater Influent Pump Station.  He also oversaw Mithun's move to Pier 56 in Seattle.

Thom served as AIA Seattle President in 1988-89.
