James McGranahan FAIA

Jim McGranahan (d. 2009) worked in a series of partnerships, and established Tacoma-based McGranahan Architects. His firm pioneered design-build, and designed the Tacoma Dome, the Department of Ecology headquarters in Lacey, the Pierce County Jail (along with HOK) and the World War II Memorial in Olympia, along with Olympia sculptor Simon Kogan. Active with AIA SW Washington, Jim represented the AIA NW and Pacific Region on the AIA national Board of Directors.

McGranahan also wrote a design-build column for the Daily Journal of Commerce's A&E page.
