Lara Swimmer

Lara Swimmer Hon. AIA Seattle
A Los Angeles native who grew up in the Pacific Northwest, Lara Swimmer studied film theory and media at the University of Pennsylvania’s Annenberg School in Philadelphia, as well as at the Sorbonne's Center for Film and Critical Studies in Paris.  She holds degrees in Media Studies and French Literature.
Lara has photographed built projects for architects in and beyond the Seattle area, and these images have appeared in newspapers, magazines, books, and other media throughout the US and abroad.  She authored Process:  Seattle Central Library in 2004.
Her 2005 recognition as an AIA Seattle Honorary Member acknowledges the significance of her photography in promoting local architects and their work.
